Hayze
You know they've had a job site there for years right? Its just re-designed. Its not like the majority of those openings weren't always there.

Kirsty
They seem to be always hiring these type of jobs. I wonder do people move in and out of the company that much, or are they constantly expanding? One particular job that caught my eye though: ROCKSTAR NORTH GAMES TESTER Rockstar North is looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our QA team in Edinburgh. Responsibilities You will be expected to play our games looking for problems and accurately report errors through our databases to ensure superior game quality before release. This shows they have completed a game and are in the bug finding stages!

Zee
Great! Cant wait to work long hours being paid very little then have my name not appear in the credits like LA Noire team!
Kirsty
Max payne 3 surely. I thought that at first too. It depends whether they hire across multiple studios though as MP3 is being developed by R* Vancouver with help from New England, London and Toronto. allhailkingryan
Want to be a part of a tight-knit team responsible for creating and publishing some of the most popular and critically-acclaimed games in the world including such videogame franchises as Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Red Dead and much more? Well, that confirms that there IS going to be a new GTA and Red dead in the future. That brings a slight sense of relief

Ash_735
Haven't they been hiring for ages? The new jobs were listed on the 15th of the 8th, so they've only been up for a day or so.

Staten
Haven't they been hiring for ages? They have; as Hayze said, it's a redesign. It's very interesting that Rockstar North itself is hiring Games Testers. I thought Leeds or NYC dealt with QA? R* North has a small testing team, and I would've thought they'd just promote someone from another studio. Very strange. Wish I could apply, but you need experience within the industry before they'd even look at your application. @Ash_375: I'm sure I saw the Games Tester vacancy a month ago, maybe? I dunno, but I definitely had a look around it at least a week ago, probably longer. Edit: Actually come to think of it, it might have looked a bit different when I first looked at it but still similar to now. Maybe they just modified it and improved it. Or it might have been exactly the same, I can't remember for sure. I thought nothing of it. Edited August 17, 2011 by lb93
maxopower
this is what dreams are made of fellas Yeah if you dream about being under payed and working over time for years. Rockstar are notorious for bad working conditions. And I'm not just talking La: Noire . I know Rockstar are't to blame for that. But both following the release of Manhunt and RDR, former implores were complaining. If you have the right experiences and skill. Getting a job at Rockstar is not difficult. Because they constantly need new employees . They also have had serious problems with crediting, so people can be working for up to 7-8 years, and not get any mention. Meaning that they have wasted the last 7 years of their life, and have nothing to show for it. Also, working at Rock star doesn't mean you get to play the game, it means years of hard coding/modeling/whatever. Edit And if you have any intrest in game testing, than READ THIS BEFORE JOINING: http://n4g.com/user/blogpost/danielrcampbell/517755 Edited August 17, 2011 by maxopower
