TheHippyJesus
When I put GTA IV in my PS3 it makes some loud noises and turns itself off. I have the old 60GB PS3. How can I fix this?
mkey82
Does this happen only with GTAIV? Are there some strange red or yellow lights?
TheHippyJesus
Does this happen only with GTAIV? Are there some strange red or yellow lights? It only happens with GTA IV I have loads of other games and this doesn't happen and it isn't anything to do with the disc because i bought another one and it did the same thing. mkey82
So the game does not start at all? Did it work at some time?

mkey82
OK, I'm glad we sorted this bit, but I really have no idea what you could do. If there is the option to uninstall/remove game data, do so and try again.
TheHippyJesus
I've done that about ten times and still nothing.

TrevorSpeed914
I really don't know what else you could do about this. Of course you don't; you don't own a PS3. Cheese, how much memory is left on your console? Are you sure your PS3 is up to date? Where did you buy your copies of the game? Were they new? Is anything plugged into your system: thumbdrive, etc? Have you tried backing up all your data on a thumbdrive/external harddrive and then formatting the PS3? It's possible you have a virus on the system.
