Finn 7 five 11
But consoles are very simple you can lay back controller in hand, and just put the disc in.The controls for console are preferable for many people as well. It's even simpler sitting back opening the games tab (or Steam) and playing without the need for constant disk removal. You can download a game onto a console harddrive just the same. You're still required to have the disc in the drive, however, so I don't see how that's at all relevant. You can download whole games from Xbox live/Psn. That is how it's relevant, otherwise that would have been a rather stupid post on my behalf. That is the last time i post in here i think, i have said my opinion, and i have already said that you cannot compare them easily. Suction Testicle Man
For PC, the sky is the limit From my perspective, this kind of statement is thrown all too often as an infallible truth. The influential factor is (currently) software, and the limitations contained therein, rather than hardware (we have seen plenty of hardware modifications to consoles, to the extent to which the software will allow). Without getting into a rant, "fanboyism" is potentially hugely damaging to the industry's direction. The ignorance and flamewars are an irritation forums like us have to deal with, but far more importantly we end up developing a consumer mindset that strives to eliminate choice. That choice is at the heart of a healthy industry operating under our current economy. Specific to this situation, that choice should not be a choice between multiple products of the same company, because the conflict of interest obviously removes all consumer benefits that a choice would otherwise bring. An Xbox vs PC debate is an argument over branding, which looks set to rage on as Microsoft merge GFWL with Xbox Live, and create an Xbox-like gaming interface for upcoming Windows releases (in short, combine products). As long as an overwhelming majority of games are developed using DirectX, and therefore produced for Xbox and PC software developed by Microsoft, then there's only a console vs console argument to be had. I happen to be a Linux user, and would love more games for Linux, but I also understand that markets disagree. I just wish someone in the PC market would really pull their finger out and challenge Microsoft for the big-buck releases (anyone home, Apple?). For those reasons, I feel that any gamer that ridicules the concept of a console, yet purchases copies of Windows to run on their PC, is likely to be proven a fool in the near future. Perhaps (I hope) it will take PCs with GUIs that look like consoles for some to realise they act like consoles too. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. Actually despite what i said about not posting here again, i would like to say rockstar was hiring for people who can develop for linux.

OverTheBelow
Seriously though, mute them durr hurr. And on PC, whenever I play games online it's much worse than console. Almost everybody has a microphone for their pc, this results in much more underaged europeans go screaming all "oi mah i nohopd yo hercore ownnd bich mah" What? It's an extremely rare occasion for me to hear people actually USING their microphone during online games on PC these days. Especially if the game offers text-based chat. You are clearly just making terrible estimations because you are a fanboy.
1st gtaROCKER
I really hate it when people on here call all console users 'idiot 11-year-old noobs that cry when they lose', although, unfortunately, they do have a point. I'd say about 60-70% of people on Xbox Live are in fact, 'idiot 11-year-old noobs that cry when hey lose'. They give the other 30% a very, very bad name. They should all get perm. banned from Xbox Live, IMO.

It's the same with the asshats on the PC platform that go around spouting "CONSOLE R 4 PEASANTS PC GAMERS ARE KING HURR", and also the majority that act as if they have the right to complain about a game lacking a feature, a PC version of the sequel or simply game performance, despite pirating the game in the first place! A large majority of PC gamers think it's completely fine to pirate games, but they just make it worse for us all (especially those that buy games due to DRM and bad ports as a result). I don't own a 360 or PS3 (I never have and don't plan on doing so), but sometimes I really wish I wasn't a PC gamer.

On average, I reckon there's about 2 mic users per match on most PC FPS games, unless your talking clan matches where everyone uses them. The only game I ever hear them regularly used is on COD: BO. LazlowsucksiloveslutS
I haven't had any experiences with PS3 or 360.I did play a number of games on PS2 ,however. And gaming experience was much better on PS2,than it is on PC.On PC,all the issues with RAM,lag and stuttering piss me off.On ps2 I had a lag-free gaming experience. 1st gtaROCKER
I would say that console, (specifically Xbox 360), is generally better than a PC at gaming for numerous reasons. The main one being that a console is made just for gaming, whereas a PC is not so gaming wouldn't be as advanced or flawless on a PC. Also, there are a lot more good games available on console than there are on PC. On an unrelated note, I would say that the Xbox is the best out of the PS3, Xbox and PC. I will be obliged justify that comment later, when you all call me fanboys. Edited August 21, 2011 by 1st gtaROCKER
Slamman
I'd say the Xbox360 given it's 3 core design, aged from the same IBM think tank as the Cell CPU, deserves a nod of credit, again, crafty programmers make the hardware shine, so it's down to it being the right combination of hardware to make it possible for the programmers and designers to impress the casual user.. It's Plug and Play consoles since their dawn in the 1970s and it won't be changing any time soon, the Game makers know this, and fanboys don't really figure into it too much other the forum "noise" it's more a personal decision and that guy claiming he'll never buy PS3 or Xbox, or any console. THAT decision is your own to make, but you only hurt yourself, you're boycott one could call it, would have to be rather MASSIVE in number to change the tide.
