allhailkingryan
For me it has to be fuzzy brushes. They are f*cking awesome if you are on a plane, travelling, camping, or just can't be arsed to brush your teeth the traditional way. Unfortunately, I only ever see them in service station vending machines. I would appreciate it if someone can tell me where to buy them in bulk. They cost 50p for one capsule in vending machines. Quite pricey BTW these are fuzzy brushes: http://www.fuzzybrush.com/images/globesticker_blue_360.png

Rhoda
I have to say I have never used, seen or even heard of a fuzzy brush. I'll be the first to say the internet, which is probably the most anticipated and cliched answer to this question. If I'm out and about and I want to know something I'll think nothing of whipping out my BlackBerry* and Googling it. Be it something trivial or important, everything from a bus timetable to an annoying jingle I just can't get out of my head, I have an answer to it and it sits next to my change in my pocket. * Incidentally, the smartphone could also be considered an invention we take for granted. Panz
I do that so much, too, Craig. I think of the stupidest crap sometimes when I'm out, and the first thing I do is google it on my iPhone. Now, to be equally cliche, I say the wheel. I mean, really, we'd have nothing without the wheel. We wouldn't be able to get anywhere, push anything, or rap about our awesome rims, yo. Alright, I'm done.
Xboxless
A bed. Seriously, if there is anything taken for granted it is a bed. We use it every night and it helps us stay nice and refreshed.

gtamann123
Mass produced housing. Could you imagine living under a pile of sticks or in a cave? I would also say that we take electricity for granted because its used for a bunch of things we rely so much on (Fridge, Phone, Computer etc.....) darthYENIK
Underwear and socks. I'm serious, go a week without wearing either of these. I went a week without wearing socks, while wearing full shoes (I'm not a girl, I don't wear flip-flops). No matter how much you wash your feet, you'll still horribly stink up your shoes. Internet and Smartphones, two things taken for granted big time. Power, you have a power out for a few hours, see how god-damn bored you get, seriously without power there is no tv, internet, heating (if you use electric) no lights, nothing, unless you have candles you can read. Rebel
Living in doors. I spent the last 3 months inside a tent for the most part. No toilets/showers/running water. Everything is a huge process. I know tons of guys who wear flip-flops..Or "Man flops". Hell, there was a weekly event at my high school called "manflop Monday". Not that I approve... How about batteries? Without them, you'd have to get up and change the TV channel yourself. Imagine that. Plus, no one would have awesome memories of Pokemon on Gameboy. We wouldn't have a use for cameras or cell phones or latptops or anything wireless, either.

Agree with you on this, so may lazy doctors or just lazy people get penicillian if they have something as simple as a cold. Then by the time they have gotten a serious illness and need it, they would have developed an immunity to it.
A J
personally im allergic to penicillin. on topic: agree with indoor plumbing, access to clean and reliable water is a major one i think, where i live we're dependent on a spring, which drives out in dry summers like this one, so we have to pump water from another spring (least we don't have any water bills) but seriously when you are forced to work to get something as simple as water, you don't take it for granted like others do. I think overall quality of life is taken for granted too much, not enough people in general appreciate how lucky they are.
