If that does not convince you, look at the history of the Playstation. Sony has released a Console every 6 years making the PS4 due to be released next year. The same and most predictable year for the next Gta to be released as it Is the 15th year mildstone of the Gta Series. Zirvlok Posted August 14, 2011 Share Posted August 14, 2011 Well, I am aware of the whole 6 year thing, but it just doesn't feel like the PS3 has run it's course quite yet. A new console in 2012 just seems too early. I can, however, see a new console release in 2014, that seems about right to me. And as far as GTA V is concerned, I would be very surprised if it was to be for the next gen consoles. I mean, just one GTA for this gen? I don't think R* would do that, especially considering the fact that if they did decide to have it on next gens, they'd lose alot of money because more people would own the current gen systems. Unless they made it for both gen systems, but I'm not sure if they'd do that because it'd end up holding the game potential back for the next gen version. I mean they haven't even said a word on the matter at hand, they'd need to hype it up a bit more I believe. Plus Bethesda was saying how they were thinking of waiting until the next gen to release Skyrim so why would they release their game 11-11 if the next gen were coming out months after? Cheat Posted August 14, 2011 Share Posted August 14, 2011 No matter where the rumors came from or whether they are true or not, it's definitely worth considering that V could be a launch title for a next-gen console, and the game's been so far from releasing for such a long time that it's starting to look plausible. Although it's frightening - I only just got a PS3 and sh*t, I'm definitely not looking forward to buying a new console... Wow, Waddy's reading the topic... Might just forget about this post!
