JOHNSUN
Hey guys. Its yo man, Johnsun. Okay so. I got a new Medion Akoya p6624 Specs: Intel® Core i3 2.40ghz with 2 cores. nvidia geforce gt 425m and 4 gb ram. Now.. reason I'm asking is.. I saw a video on YT.. Where some dude was just shootin coppaz and sh*t.. Well.. he aparently also had a medion akoya, BUT had AMD at 2.30 ... seeing as I have a 2.40ghz but its Intel, and you see, as we all know.. if amd at 2.0 ghz and an intel at 2.0 ghz had a 'race.. amd is quicker soo.. I'm wondering if i could run GTA IV.. I couldnt give a sh*t if i had to run it on sh*t quality. Thanks in advance.
AndrefromEstonia
About your idea of amd vs intel, it's exactly opposite. Me and my friend have the same laptop, hp pavilion dv6 with different processors, bot 2,2 ghz dual core. He has Intel and it's much faster. Your PC will handle GTA 4 quite well. Nice graphics card and one of the fastest dual core processors on a laptop.
OverTheBelow
as we all know.. if amd at 2.0 ghz and an intel at 2.0 ghz had a 'race.. amd is quicker soo.. not sure if sarcasm? It's actually the other way round. Intel generally produce faster processors than AMD in terms of clock-for-clock performance. You should be able to run the game smoothly on nothing more than low settings at 720p. Your graphics card is the bottleneck here, not so much the CPU. @AndrefromEstonia: The graphics card is actually pretty low end..

I know a lot about computers. I have a quite slow pc when talking about gaming, and smooth gameplay is possible with that pc even on high/medium settings. If i have even enb icehancer running wuite nicely on my pc then what more do you want? I am wrong about the graphics card indeed, i misread that. But you can decently on that car. Your bad news are wrong.

Ok ok... About that YT video.. there is a fine line between something like fukkin aliens comin to buttf*ck planet earth and something like a simular system running a game.. whatchu been smokin' XD @everyoneelse Thanks for your information. I'm pretty damn sure Intel was slower.. o.0 Maybe the person with the AMD one has more files...? Oh well.. Thanks, everyone.
YankeesPwnMets
Any Intel Hexacore at 3.4 Ghz is absolutely pwns any X6 at 3.4 Ghz Any i5 Quad at 4 Ghz will beat any X4 at 4 Ghz Any dual i5/i3 will beat any Athlon X2 If you put the a CPU from Intel and AMD with the same clock and same number cores, normally, Intel will win. As of now, Intel is the more expensive, better performance option. I wouldn't go with AMD unless I was building a budget PC, since AMD is cheap and lower performing. If you want to game and have $600+, go with Intel's Sandy Bridge lineup. If you want to try and game on a $500 system, you might want to go the AMD route. About YouTube vids, any video made with the game's video editor that is trying to show performance is an automatic fake. You see these vids where a Geforce 210 or something like that is running at 1080P very smoothly, all that is fake because the game's video editor makes gameplay look smoother then it actually is. JOHNSUN
Yeah. I see. Like he can just go into to post processing of the video and just click it up like 0.2 times faster... yeah I get that... But I've been watching other video's, reading up on the intanetz.. Seems like my Medion is quite the beast! Thanks once again every one. I'll be going down to my nephew to loan the game to see if i can run it. Stammer when I spam the walk.. Like when Im in a car, creamin it down hove beach :X When I pres W to accelerate... I need to dodge a car in the way I'm like A to the left an then D to the right... It lags when I spam the keyboard.. But when I spam clikcing to punch some one it doesnt stutter.. Its like its only flaw is it cant read my typing fast enough... Is this a bug that I need some fix for? I mean FPS is perfect with propper graphics too.. so my system isnt the problem.. thanks once again.. Turn down the view distance slider a bit and see if it helps. That one is particularly stressing on the CPU and can cause stuttering when you turn the camera as it loads new parts of the map. It does it when everything is maxed out or on most possable minimum D:
