WHY DID YOU DO IT? I asked. THE POLICE WAS WELL RACIST, INNIT? They said. THEY WERE DOING THEIR JOBS. I answered. And they snorted and shook their heads. WHY DID YOU DO IT? I asked. IT WAS THE GOVERNMENT’S FAULT. They said. WHAT DID THEY DO? I answered. And they had to ask who the Prime Minister was. WHY DID YOU DO IT? I asked. I WAS BORED They said. I nodded and walked away. I also think it's stupid how these rioters from all over England thought it was OK to smash their neighbourhoods up and bring shame upon the country.
