Oh yeah, Fifa Street is back. inlove.gif  Just hope they improve on #3 ALOT.

Anyone else watching the EA stream?

I am. Fifa Street caused a yaaawn from me, but NFS: The Run is looking insane! wow.gif

I enjoyed the first 2 Fifa Street games, but #3 felt terrible to me.

The Run is looking good, but some of the effects need addressing, such as when he drove through falling rocks without actually hitting them. confused.gif

Knew you'd be watching it anyway. tounge.gif How many games were shown before Fifa Street?

I think the stuff he hit was snow? Not sure.

How did you know? tounge.gif You didn't miss anything, it had not long started.

Cheers guys. Think they've done the best thing by showing BF3 as the last game of the show...just hope it's some epic footage, and not stuff that has already been leaked.

I want to see FIFA Street. It's probably nothing special, but I spent some great times playing that game with certain friends.

100,000 riders on one event? SSX is getting better every time I hear about it.

RiderNet sounds good.

Andy Katkin:

Today we’re going to talk about two key parts of our multiplayer modes: Explore and Global Events.

4:34

Andy Katkin:

In explore you can drop into any of the planet’s iconic mountain ranges. Each time you have a personal best we’re going to upload a ghost of your run that lives permanently and that all your friends can see, even when you’re away from your console.

4:34

Andy Katkin:

As you take down your friends’ ghosts and move up the leader board you get money – and if you’re friend tries to take down your ghost and fails … you guessed it, you win money also, even if you are offline.

4:35

Andy Katkin:

Global events – up to 100,000 players live at once. Global events also includes Customizable events – fully customizable events you can set up just for you and your friends. Instead of riding against ghosts of past runs, now you’re competing against other players around the world in real-time.

Soooooooo looking forward to this game. Just please don't f*ck it up. mad.gif

Playing FPS with a gamepad it's really a bad idea. They could at least take PS Move.

Great stuff, ran over to the shop and got help up in a queue, so now I've missed it all.

Off to YT I go.

They showed planes! It looks great and the map seemed rather large. Also, the PS3 co-op footage looked surprisingly good! Can't wait till October 28th.

Press Conferences are in this order:

Microsoft - 16.8.2011 @ 12.30 CET

EA - 16.8. 2011 @ 16:00 CET

Surely this is wrong?

@Kuruma, check the updated OP.

I hate events like this, too many games that get added to my pre-order list. Need some help though; I've seen many editions of SSX featured, such as limited character editions and whatnot, and I want to pre-order one, but not sure where has the best deal? Anyone got an idea? Or is it best to hold on for a while and see what other editions get announced?

EA shown:

FIFA Street HD

NFS: The Run

Warhammer: Wrath of Chaos

Mass Effect 3

SSX HD

Reckoning

The Secret World

FIFA 12

BF3

Maybe something else, haven't watched the first few mins

@Butters - It wasn't wrong, apparently the microsoft thing was just play day, and EA thing did start at 16 CET and just ended.

My bad then. So are M$ actually doing an event then, or not? That's the only thing I was asking about, since there had been no M$ event yet.

Anyway, time to watch the BF3 footage again. What's with that random drone footage? lol.

So what was shown for counter strike global offensive, any trailers?

Nothing to do with EA, it's being published via XBL and PSN.

Microsoft ignites blockbuster games excitement and unveils more magic for Kinect at gamescom 2011

European momentum grows as Xbox 360 continues to transform entertainment for everyone

COLOGNE, Germany – August 16, 2011

Today, Microsoft raised the curtain on gamescom 2011, unveiling a stellar line up of compelling new content for Xbox 360 across the biggest blockbuster games and Kinect titles launching in the next 12 months, marking the biggest year in Xbox 360’s history while pushing to become the best-selling game console worldwide.

Chris Lewis, Vice President Interactive Entertainment Business for Microsoft Europe, said, “We’ve been very clear that our ambition is to be the number one console not only in Europe but worldwide, and looking at our lineup at gamescom while knowing what’s still in the pipeline, I’m confident we have the games and experiences to drive us toward that goal. Consumers of all ages continue to be captivated and entertained by everything Xbox 360 and Kinect have to offer and our commitment to the core remains undeniable.”

Xbox 360 is the home for blockbuster games:

Opening Wednesday, August 17, 2011, Microsoft’s presence on the gamescom show floor will reaffirm Xbox 360 as the platform to play this holiday’s top games and promises to thrill core gamers with blockbuster titles and content available exclusively on Xbox 360, including the multi-million selling “Gears of War” franchise playable in Germany for the very first time. With a BBFC 18 approved rating, “Gears of War 3” will hit shelves beginning 20th September, allowing fans in Germany and around the world to load up their Lancers and join Marcus Fenix and his fellow COG soldiers as they race to rescue the human race from the jaws of extinction. Setting the standard for the racing genre this Christmas on the Xbox 360 platform and Kinect, car lovers will be blown away as “Forza Motorsport 4” takes centre stage exclusively at the Xbox 360 booth with the worldwide debut of the 2012 BMW M5. The team at Turn 10 Studios will also reveal F1 track favourite, the Hockenheim Ring, joining the host of circuits available when “Forza Motorsport 4” speeds to store shelves across Europe on 14th October, 2011. Fans of the popular Xbox exclusive and first-person shooter franchise, “Halo,” will be the first in the world to compete on classic multiplayer maps Beaver Creek and Damnation in the iconic, remastered “Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary,” launching on the franchise’s 10th anniversary, 15thNovember, 2011.

Building on the strength of Microsoft’s portfolio, the industry’s best developers and publishers will showcase some of the best game experiences found on Xbox 360 with their latest blockbuster titles including “Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3,” “Assassins Creed Revelations®”, “EA SPORTS™ FIFA 12,” and “The Elder Scrolls® V: Skyrim™.” Set to release exclusively for Xbox 360 and Kinect, Capcom will continue to demonstrate its commitment to pushing the boundaries of game development and showcasing new Kinect features for “Steel Battalion Heavy Armor” exclusively to media ahead of its release in 2012.
