Police Chases

We all know that in GTA: San Andreas there would be occasional police chases, and the driver would shoot at the police and then drive away, or the police would kill him and the police would get back in their car and drive away. That's not really realistic to me. So here is what I want for AI police chases in GTA V:

First, there should be more than one police car. Most police chases in the real world include more than one police car, unless it's very rural and if there's rural area in GTA V there should be less police cars. The police cars should also stay in formation until they have the chance to stop the suspect.

Second, police cars shouldn't try to ram the suspect(s) off the road as quickly as possible. They should stay organized and only use PIT maneuvers at intersections. The should never do a PIT maneuver on a straight road unless it's empty or long.

Third, police shouldn't be so reckless. The suspect should be a worse driver than the police officer, police officers should brake at turns and they shouldn't follow suspects on wrong sides of the road like they do in real life. If you go on the wrong side of the road, they should stay on the right side.

Fourth, suspects shouldn't always have weapons. Only on special occasions should suspects have a firearm, and when they do police should keep their distance and not fire until the suspect does. Plus the suspect shouldn't always fire immediately, he should point at the police and then fire. Because police in real life aren't 100% fearless and jump into gunfights like in GTA. If the suspect doesn't have a gun then the police should pull him/her out of the car and arrest them with handcuffs and stuff.

And finally, there should be a visible start to a police chase. There should be traffic stops and the driver speeds away, a driver speeds and won't pull over, or he committed a crime like rob a store and he's trying to make a getaway.

All of this should make police chases much more realistic.

Have you played grand theft auto iv? They didnt just shoot suspects dead. They arrested them and put them in the police car. But the police almost never arrested anyone aside from the protagonist and only seemed to get involved with the protagonist in car chases. They werent nearly so reckless as in san andreas (which i thought was a shame it was fun to watch police cars crashing all over the place. )

To be honest though i dont think it really matters all that much if NPC police chases are not all that realistic because they usually just zoom past and thats that. Sorry if my grammar isnt 100% i am on my phone.

All I want is, if I'm in a police chase and I hit a corner and there is no cop in sight. If I run into a building, or duck into a dark park that they didn't see me go in to, they shouldn't just magically know what I am.

The police need some more love. The SA one where you could drive on a huge road and all they'll do is try to stop you and drag you out was good enough for me.

I want for the police to actually be able to keep up with you instead of the game spawning a cop at every street corner to compensate for their abysmal driving.

It would be great if police has a taser , where the protagonist yell "don't tase me bro!!!"

ha ha just kiddin

what we need is more aggressive cops when we are not in mission and less aggressive cops when we are in mission, gta 4 had a mediocre cops

how often would this stuff randomly happen? same with NPC gang wars.

Well ideally you see it on average every 20 minutes of real time gameplay.

Obviously it would be randomized...but on average.

In some areas you would see it more often than others.

In fact a great additional feature would be to be able to apprehend the suspect yourself, If you are attempting to help the police you cannot get in trouble for shooting the other vehicle and you get a reward for assistance in justice like in Vice City.

Original Light

In GTA IV there were only foot pursuits and if your driving a cop car the cop will put the suspect in yours and steal it from you.
