[Tut] Making A Working grenade launcher in GTA4

REMEMBER TO BACKUP EVERYTHING

 

-Step 1 Download weapon editor from http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/tools/1827

 

-Step 2 1/2 (optional) download a grenade launcher model such as butterholes

- http://www.gta4-mods.com/weapons/a-35-mgl-...-launcher-f9784

 

-step 2 2/2 Rename it to the weapon you want as the grenade launcher, ex. w_shotgun the replace it

 

-Step 3 open gta4 weapon editor and load weaponinfo.xml,you dont need to load the other two they can give errors,

and scroll to the weapon you replaced and put it like this

 

SLOT: [dont change]

Fire Type: PROJECTILE [ALL CAPS]

DAMAGE TYPE: EXPLOSIVE

 

-Now switch to the projectile tab and....

 

Type To Create: Grenade

 

If you do it right it should work
