NeedForSpeedXP
Hi, My dad's doing up a '79 Ford Cortina. He brought it from England and has had it sitting in his garage for 3 years. He's half done it up, but it's not the best. My dad won't let me put up pics yet because he's not finished. Will be pics soon though! EDIT: He's replaced the spark plugs, the boot, the bonet, and he's painted it black & Silver (I know it's not Silver but there's not a color for it). He has spent about 1 year doing it up, but the down side is, he hasn't finished it. Pictures will be tomorrow. Benzoboy
That's cool, I'm a big Ford man. Old RWD ones always tickle my fancy. What's he got planned? Restoration, or modifying it?

Lurch
You should contact STM. He owns an old Cortina and a Capri. He could probably give you some tips on them like how to make trees NOT fall on them. He has experience.

I have to wail until he's finished. When he's finished, you'll be surprised.

NeedForSpeedXP
Yeah but do you know the arts to keeping a tree from falling on it? What do you mean by that? Anyway, it's my DAD that's doing it up, if you didn't take any notice. Here's a cookie.
Pat
If you're not the one doing the work, and you have no pictures to share, I fail to see what there is to discuss here.

4 Bagger
If you're not the one doing the work, and you have no pictures to share, I fail to see what there is to discuss here. I fail to see why you are reacting like that? It's up to him if he wants to share it. If you do not like it, here you go:
Pat
It's up to him if he wants to share it. And I have no problem with that, but if he has no information to share other than the basic fact that it's being restored, what is there to discuss? Unless you can answer me that, I will continue with the opinion that this does not belong in a separate topic. It should have been kept to the Car Talk Topic. Slamman
I think it's silly that he not allow pictures if you want to DOCUMENT the changes and restoration and build up, That's why people often Do take an interest I'd say.
NeedForSpeedXP
Here is the day I've decided to put up pictures. Here they are. Sorry that it's only 3, but you take what you're given.
*MURDOC*
Excellent camera work. Where does he work on it, and what is he actually doing to it?
anus
The stripe doesn't go with it in my eyes. The stripe seems to me like it's trying to give it a muscle car look, but fails coz the car doesn't have the muscle body to carry it through. It'd go well with it if the bumper hugged the ground some more though.
NeedForSpeedXP
Excellent camera work. Where does he work on it, and what is he actually doing to it? He works on it in his "garage." And he's just restoring it because it was falling apart when he brought it. The stripe doesn't go with it in my eyes. The stripe seems to me like it's trying to give it a muscle car look, but fails coz the car doesn't have the muscle body to carry it through. It'd go well with it if the bumper hugged the ground some more though. Well it's your opinion, so I'm just going to tell my dad that you don't like it so much. But he won't change it.
