wampbell Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 Ok, I haven't been on here in FOREVER so bear with me lol. I was beating GTA: SA (Without cheats, or any mods except cleo but that was just for the speedometer, I uninstalled that and the problem still occurred), and just finished the Black Project mission, went to the safe house, and saved my game. Then, out of nowhere, the game crashed, and I'm like, "oh no big deal, it happens every once in awhile", so I go to start it up, it starts up fine, then I load my game, and the loading bar goes completely to the end, and the screen goes black with white lettering in the middle saying something like "Loading save game" or something to that extent. I'm like wtf, so I go and reinstall (making sure to back up my save game) and then once its done, I put the save game back in my documents, and go to start it up and it does the same thing. I'm stumped right now. Is the save game corrupt? Is their anyway to fix it? I'm really far into the game and don't want to lose it all. Specs: Windows XP, SP2 Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.2Ghz Intel G33/G31 Express chipset (Intel GMA 3100, not x3100) 128mb or 256mb, can't remember. 2gb of DDR2 ram. lil weasel Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 Save games are saved in User Documents, which is not touched when deleteing the game throught the game's own uninstall feature. The first thing to try when a sudden problem occurs is to delete the GTA_SA.set file. Your machine may have updated a OS config file that doesn't agree with the current GTA_SA.set file. gtadani1 Posted August 21, 2011 Share Posted August 21, 2011 try load new game. if it works, i know a prolem. if new game works, you have a problem in one file "...\GTA San Andreas\models\gta_int.img". "gta3.img" is a map models, "gta_int.img" is a interior of CJ house models. you need replace your old "gta_int.img" with original or working "gta_int.img".
