AB0333
Hello, I have recently got EFLC and I'm having some problems with starting it. In fact, when I try to fire up EFLC.exe, a message pops up saying: "SecuLauncher: failed to start application. [2000]" I've seen that I'm not the only one having this problem, and I have googled a solution last night, but I didn't manage to make it work. Anyone? Appreciate every answer. mkey82
This usually means you need to install the vc++ libraries package from the game disk.
AB0333
Hmm.. not this time. I've already tried that. Is there anything other that also could cause this problem?
mkey82
Always run the game as admin and remove any apps such as daemon tools.
AB0333
Always run the game as admin .... I always do. .... and remove any apps such as daemon tools. I don't have Daemon. Any others? PowerISO?
nightwalker83
Search for a program called trashreg and see if that helps.
mkey82
Any disk emulation software may and probably will cause Securom conflicts.
AB0333
Couldn't find trashreg. Uninstalled all, rebooted system, still doesnt work. EDIT: Just a sec.. Seems like I found out whats the problem. I cannot install any of the .exe's in folder Redistributables on game DVD, except vcredist_x86. When I start some of them, a message pops up saying: "Not enough storage is available to process this command.", and then "installation did not complete.". I tried this tut, and I edited some stuff in regedit, but didn't work. Does this sh*t have a f*cking end? Edited August 11, 2011 by AB0333
YankeesPwnMets
Try to drag the installers onto your desktop instead of directly installing them from the disk
mkey82
You seem to be running into piles of horse manure, interesting. Which OS are you using? Luckily, the VC++ files are practically the only ones you need from that folder. This would be the update http://updates.rockstargames.com/patches/eflc/update2_EN.zip for the game and this GFWL update.
AB0333
Try to drag the installers onto your desktop instead of directly installing them from the disk I don't think that will work, but if nothing works, I'll try it. You seem to be running into piles of horse manure, ... Yeah, seems so. ... interesting. Not to me, trust me. Which OS are you using? Windows 7. And I hate it. If I could, I would install XP, but my laptop doesn't support it for some reason. XP rocks. Luckily, the VC++ files are practically the only ones you need from that folder. Great! I was so worried. This would be the update http://updates.rockstargames.com/patches/eflc/update2_EN.zip for the game and this GFWL update. Alright, I'm gonna give it a shot. EDIT: Doesn't work..... mkey82
Please summarize the exact problem you're getting now as maybe some details have been left out.
AB0333
Same as before. "SecuLauncher: failed to start application. [2000]"
mkey82
Are you starting the game with the launcher? One is the game exe (probably eflc.exe) the other is the launcher (launcheflc.exe). If though the error you're getting is not consistent whit this problem.

mkey82
Look, you can always use a third party loader. That one should work no questions asked.
