na89340qv0n34b09q340
I support a lot of Anon's operations, but sometimes they can be so stupid. Announcing an attack on something that is making that much money is probably the worst idea they've had this year. But if they somehow manage to actually get rid of Facebook rather than just knock it off for a few days, I will be proud. I wonder what the percentage of virgins to non virgins on /b/ is? /b/ has nothing to do with Anonymous, you just wanted to take a shot at them. kmlwin.1996
Good. My ambition is to attack Facebook and now, Anonymous will handle it. (Joking!)
Creed Bratton
I actually like these lunatics. In a world where consumers have no rights [especially in gaming industry where there are no laws to prevent shady business practices], they decided to do something. It may be the wrong approach, but it's a start. As for Facebook. I can believe governments are using it to spy on people, because I use it to spy on people. It's amazing how much information you can gather about people from a single post or photo album. They don't even have to put their interests, hobbies and personal data in order for me to figure out how they think and what they like. And then when I use my knowledge on them they look at me as if I were an oracle or something.

Anonymous and /b/ aren't the same thing, but they are also not completely separate from one another. If Fagnonymous is planning something, /b/ is talking about it. and every other board is talking about how wonderful it is to have all the retards on one board dealing in their own stupidity. sometimes they can be so stupid. Get on /b/ an acquaint yourself with their sense of humor.
sivispacem
I support a lot of Anon's operations Out of interest, why? Their idiotic and pathetic attempts to stick it to "the man", whoever "the man" may be (they never really define that) have all the tenacity of a euthanised dog, and it strikes me that not only do they not really seem to know what they are doing in terms of conducting their "attacks", they also don't really seem to have any kind of grasp on the way businesses, industries, government services and the suchlike are actually run. I've always assumed they were the same thing to be honest, the only bit of 4chan i go on is the vehicle section and the only time i've been on /b/ was to post pat's dick picture, which they seemed to love btw. [SM]CJZera
So yesterday I heard a couple of guys in my class talking about "Those threats made by that v from vendeta-mask guy" I must say this is the first time I heard people talking about anon in my high school, and they did actually believe they could do something against it... I'm going to bet they'll just attempt to DDoS and fail miserably...
King Mystery
I'll laugh when facebook get's hacked. Me too. I don't have a Facebook, but my (ex-)friend used to always bother me about getting one. And then, it'll get hacked, and I'll have the last laugh. It'd be such epic payback.
Law0070
And then, it'll get hacked, and I'll have the last laugh. you won't...do you really think a social network site like facebook with a user database of millions of people and with millions of people online simultaneously would "break" because of an attack? nah...and even if a DDoS succeeds...what's the point? no way they'll succeed and anyways, stop hating, you don't have one, you complain about something you don't have and don't want? sometimes idk what's worse, being a facebook freak or hating on facebook without having one and without experiencing the benefits... Wu Kenny Lee
Well, I don't think they help the people with attacking facebook. And I don't think they really want to "protect the rights" of the Facebook users. They just want to show how powerful they are (OMG ANONYMOUS, THAT GROUP THAT SUCCESSFULLY ATTACKED FACEBOOK OMG !!!!11!), ignoring the fact they actually hurt far more people with actions like this than they help. The original intentions of the group aren't bad, but it seems like they gone crazy.
Mark
LulzSec attacked the PSN, not Anonymous. Why are the media always putting these two groups together now? When news of those arrested 'hacker's came to news, it put 'Anonymous/Lulzsec....'. And don't blame FB for been addictive, blame your self for having a boring life. They did team up for Operation Antisec. As recent allies I guess people just see them as a big group of hackers now instead of two separate groups. I myself love Facebook. I organise the majority of my social life through it. Also good for banter.
Jesus'En'Hitler420
I guess I can see where they are coming from. I've been thinking that if I were some agent tasked with spying and tracking private citizens, why even go on stakeouts and sh*t when you could just search them on Facebook? However, if they do know Facebook is selling information, why not just sue them for breaching their own terms? This is kind of dumb if you have solid evidence and there's possibly billions of potential dollars you could make with a case like that.

If you're willing to put your personal information onto Facebook, where the entire world can see it, why are you concerned about your data privacy? Either put the bare minimum up there and use it as a communication medium, or display your whole life and all your dirty laundry, but if you do the latter you've got no right to complain if people mis-use personal data that you voluntarily put in the public domain. Robinski
Exactly, if as [sM]CJZera says, it's practically in the terms of service which you have to agree to, and then you go and put sensitive information on said public service then, well then you're just f*cking stupid. Selling your information might not be the nicest thing to do, but it's far from "wrong".

Yes, anyone to post important data on FB is pretty naive. However, everyone has a friend who talks about their own friends on FB and tags people in photos, and give apps permissions to access private information on their friends' profiles (i.e. yours) and there is no way to stop this. Sure you can disable tagging on photos and people signing you into locations, but I'm sure FB still keep a record of people trying to tag you into places. Why does it matter, though? Granted, using FB for open-source intelligence gathering is like shooting fish in a barrel, but only if you've got the time or resources to pursue it properly. People have absolutely no right to get indigent with social networking organisations who share their data with third parties or with authorities, as they've placed their data in the public domain where quite literally anyone who wants to take the time or effort to unwrap whatever layers of security you may have ticked boxes for can access. If you don't want people to tag you in facebook photos, don't have a facebook account. As simple as that. Anyone on FB can see your full name anyway you should know that, and you can see most peoples pictures as most people dont change theyre privacy settings even your address doesnt really matter unless your richer than most and contact numbers can be found by using many other online resources. Besides i only said most of the info is useless for example what i had for breakfast and when im using the bathroom. The FBI has all this info and more so i would still rather FB get hacked than the FBI.
