Crazy4candy Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 (edited) Well I've recently bought brand new GTA Sanandreas game a week ago and when the first time I installed, it worked properly with no errors, Having a problem with my system I need to uninstall all the files from GTA sanandreas folder 2 days back and today when I tried to reinstall it I found an error stating that Data3.cab error ( Cyclic redundancy check ) what does it mean..I didn't use that disk after installing it for first time on my system 2 weeks ago...This is the first time I tried to reinstall it But it failed. Mak Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 I had this issue in my old SA disk , try to copy the installation files onto your hard drive from there run the setup if successful the setup will run with no problem and then put in your disk and play the game ,but in time you will eventually have to buy a new disk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kmlwin.1996 Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 As far as I know, Data.cab error did something with my Vice City disc too. It always happens when the data on your disc is cracked and your disc is scratched. Try smoothing the CD with cloth and try again. My solution and suggestion is to buy a new one disc. Crazy4candy Posted August 11, 2011 Author Share Posted August 11, 2011 Well the idea of using the Toothpaste & cleaning the disc has worked for me, Now I've copied all the files from the original GTA Sanandreas to my PC. But when I eject the disc after copying the files and when I try to open the Sanandreas game from desktop its not opening, Do I need to insert the disc and play the game all the time ? Before I use to have a crack file which contains the GTA Sanandreas logo (icon) replacing the icon in My documents Gta sanandreas user files with the crack file has worked. But now I've lost it...Its been a tough task to play the game inserting the disc everytime I start the game...someone plz help me with this issue...
