1.Catalina - charismatic, and evil alright.

2.Frank Tenpenny

3.Sonny Forelli

Edit: oh, it's in the DYOM support.

Why's that in the DYOM support?

Unless you are gathering opinions for a DYOM mission pack/storyline/mission, wrong section man. Your thread would find a better home in GTA Series Chat

Probably Frank Tempenny. I didn't like him and what he does to CJ and his family is pretty bad.

Frank Tenpenny, yet he is my favourite game villain.

Samuel L. Jackson for the win.

Dimitri hands down. Unlike Sonny, Catalina, Tenpenny etc he was very unassuming.

Dimitri was very different, because he made a fool out of Niko for getting inside his head by making him (Niko) think he was on his side.

I even admit the first time I saw Dimitri I thought nothing of him. In fact I thought he would just be another character that would slip away after that mission strand. How wrong I was.

After finding out Dimitri's true colours I was absolutely livid. To make matters worse his taunting of Niko by ringing him just threw more fuel on the fire. He was in fact quite a coward, but I think that's what makes him evil and sinister. He didn't have the balls to front Niko until the very end.

Really Dimitri was just a pussy, but that's what drove me to strangle his f**king neck. R* done a sensational job with his character.

In saying that it doesn't surprise me that Tenpenny has received the most votes so far. Don't get me wrong he's a great character, but I don't think he would be as popular without Samuel L Jackson. Had it been an unknown I could almost guarantee his appeal would be lost by almost half IMO and like I said above like most of the other antagonists he was designed to be hated by the protagonist/player from the start without any hidden agendas.

I would even go as far as saying Big Smoke was more evil and sinister than Tenpenny, because he had a lot of traits that Dimitri had. Aka being unassuming and getting inside CJ's head making him think they were on the same side. To me that's what makes someone evil. Not someone who is obviously an asshole like Tenpenny.

Dimitri is anything but stupid. On the contrary, I think he's quite intelligent...and the most evil.

Yeah, He betrayed like his oldest friend, and killed whoever he don't trust.

Definitely Catalina. That crazy b*tch almost killed cj, then ran off to deal some SPANK in liberty city with some columbian dude. NO 1 MESSES WIT CJ. jks. In terms of most evil, it's gotta be her. But i think the most badass has gotta be Tenpenny tounge2.gif

A very intelligent post. I liked Dimitri, I didn't foresee his betrayal and with his taunting, his childish vendetta and acts of malice against Niko, the man was enough to stir up a vast amount of hatred in the guts of even the most peaceful soul. But past Hostile Negotiation, his whole demeanour lost that menacing edge that made me despise him in the first place. He just attempted to get rid of Niko so many times and failed. Bulgarin was the same. Bulgarin was just plain shocking, an horrendous villain. How could anybody take him seriously at all after his entire host of attempts to murder both Niko and Luis over pettiness were thwarted? In TBOGT especially, it seems his role was created just as a means of expanding a dire storyline.

On the other hand, my vote goes to Sonny Forelli. His periodic threatening phone calls were intimidating and unlike Dimitri and Bulgarin, after making a failed bid to oust Vercetti he not only approaches (or vice versa) his right hand man to turn on him to weaken Tommy and reaffirm his control in front of his Mafia soldiers, but decides to personally be at the scene to execute his foe himself. Sonny was an excellent antagonist, complimenting the short, sharp, shock of Vice City's story.

Catalina by far

Dimitri comes across as a little weakling before he gets you to kill faustin then he shows his true clours

Tenpenny is funny but quite evil as well

Sonny was a good one but no match for a Spaz 12

Sonny would've been okay as an antagonist if only he'd had more involvement in the story. I mean, he only appears in the first and the two last missions, apart from a couple of phone calls. Even Torini from LCS is more involved in the storyline. Honestly, I just can't take that guy seriously.

On-topic, I suppose 1st Tempenny, 2nd Dimitri, 3rd Catalina.

It's been 7 years, but never mind.

In no order, I think the most evil antagonists are:

  • Big Smoke
  • Dimitri Rascalov
  • Billy Grey
  • Ray Bulgarin

What makes them the most evil for me is the fact that, as MiamiViceCity previously stated about Rascalov, each one of them made the protagonist believe that he's on their side, until they reveal their real faces. Sonny Forelli did make Tommy feel like he's on his side, then got him caught up, but that was before the events of Vice City's story, not during it.

I still think that Tenpenny is a pretty badass antagonist, but he's more of a straight douche than a two-faced villain.

I was going to make a post, but it appears I already did 7 years ago. Nice to know my views have remained consistent after all this time.😉

It's between Dimitri and Tenpenny for me, but I'll give the edge to Dimitri because he caught Niko (and me) off guard. I thought he was going to be a good companion to Niko up until that point. I was like whoa.

Liberty City Executioner

A lot of them are, though I’ll just list the ones who I find the most evil (not necessarily ordered, just listed):

1. Dimitri Rascalov, he definitely crossed the Moral Event Horizon several times, though especially when he ordered Niko to kill Mikhail, organized Roman’s kidnapping, and in the Deal ending when he sends a hitman to kill Roman, taints Niko about it, and kills Jimmy Pegorino so that they wouldn’t have to share drug and other illegally obtained money.

2. Jimmy Pegorino, in my opinion, he’s an underestimated evil. He may not be as evil as Dimitri, but he sure as hell isn’t that far off. He forced Niko into a deal with Dimitri, despite the fact that Niko and Dimitri had history. In my mind, I think he had Niko working for him as some sort of setup. In the Revenge ending, he kills Kate McReary. I know he claims he was aiming for Niko, but I personally think he’s lying and that he killed Kate for the same basic reason as to why Dimitri sent a hitman after Roman in the Deal ending-to get a message across.

3. Billy Grey: Upon getting arrested, he literally screwed over his own biker gang for the FIB and LCPD, so that Johnny, Clay, and Terry could end up in jail and he could live in luxury in Arizona. Selfish b*tch.

4. Brian Jeremy: He isn’t that far off from Billy. He also screwed over his own biker gang as well.

5. Ray Boccino: I’d say he definitely crossed the Moral Event Horizon when he ordered a hit squad after Johnny K and tormented Jim with a blowtorch.

6. Rocco Pelosi and his uncle, Vince: I’d say they both crossed the Moral Event Horizon when they forced Luis to kill Gay Tony.

7. Ray Bulgarin and Timur: Crossed the Moral Event Horizon when they betrayed Luis and Gay Tony, sending hit squads after them.

Frank Tenpenny, Eddie Pulaski, Big Smoke, Ryder, Sonny Forelli, Steve Haines, Devin Weston, and Catalina also crossed the Moral Event Horizon by..well..EXISTING pretty much..

I agree with what you stated, but I don't think this was so accurate.

Pegorino was just blindly firing, he thought that he got it covered with that, but he drove away regardless of what happened. As for Dimitri, he sent the hitman after Niko himself, not Roman, but when Niko tried to stop him from shooting, the hitman accidentally hit Roman instead.

Frank Tenpenny he's so evil it led to a city wide riot when he was found not guilty and corrupted Smoke and Ryder into betraying GSF.

Catalina she would have betrayed cj had he not ditched her crazy ass

Dimitri Rascalov. Why ? Well, he betrayed almost everyone who ever came in contact with him. Be it his long time best friend Mikhail whom he got killed so that he doesn't gets killed by Petrovic, sold out Niko to Bulgarin so he can cement his friendship with Ray and boost his business and organisation, kidnapped Roman who had nothing to do with Niko's dirty work and then kills Pegorino so he doesn't have to share the profits from the deal. He took the survival of the fittest thing to a whole new level.

Then, Frank Tenpenny, Billy Grey, Catalina were pretty evil too.
