drm1984
Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to read this i appreciate it and i hope you can help. Ok, so up until yesterday i had GTA IV with TBOGT addon installed and fully updated on my system, i had the Simple Native Trainer and i went on multiplayer quite often. Everything worked fine until i uninstalled and re-installed the game. Now the game will only update to 1.0.5.0 after that the updates keep coming up with error messages nomatter how i go about installing them. So i cant use single player or multiplayer and i cant install TBOGT from my GFWL account because it keeps signing me out after failing to update and the game stops working. I get the ''GTA IV has stopped working'' Error message and the failed update tells me to look at a .log file, which contains the following: ''Launching Title Update: "C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\Updates\5454083b\Content\UpdateTitle.exe" /selflaunch /p 1d14 /r"F:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" GTAIV.exe Launching: C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\Updates\5454083b\Content\TitleUpdate.msi ACTION=INSTALL REINSTALLMODE=amus LAUNCHEDVIASETUP=1 APPLICATIONROOTDIRECTORY="F:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV" TRANSFORMS=:Instance1 MSINEWINSTANCE=1 Error installing MSI at C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\Updates\5454083b\Content\TitleUpdate.msi HR:0x80070667'' Could this be a problem with Securom? Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling about 7 times now, am i doing something wrong maybe regarding the uninstall? I tried using REGCURE and SPOTMAU REGISTRY CLEANER tools but its still the same. Im fairly certain that this is a software error. My system specs are as follows: Windows 7 (32) AMD Phenom 9950 Quad Core Processor 2.60GHz 4GB Ram (3.25 useable) Nvidia 9800GT (Zotac) graphics card Any ideas?! mkey82
I was pointing out to the link to the archive you should download and extract into the game directory.
drm1984
yeah i already tried that, after ive copied and pasted all of the files into the game folder, the game will not start at all
mkey82
Have you overwritten the old files when copying? Have you started the game with the launcher? Have you installed this GFWL update? Try using xliveless.
drm1984
Yes, Yes, Yes and i still want to be able to play multiplayer so im not using xliveless. I read that one guy had the same problem, after he formatted his Hard Drive and reinstalled windows everything worked fine. But surely i shouldnt have to go to that extent?!
