So I decided:"Let's put them all under one roof" I'll make a table and list all of the proposed release/announcement dates here. So, just post:"I think it will be {insert date here} because of this and this valid reasons!" this will help so we don't have 100 of these:"It will be on blah blah blah date" topics. I say that because it wasn't on the list for the early 2012 games, and October and April are the average months a GTA game comes out. Staten Posted August 8, 2011 Share Posted August 8, 2011 I'd say a September 2011 announcement for a late April/early May 2012 release. Though October has overwhelmingly been the favoured release date for R* when it comes to the main GTAs, I believe this pattern was based on finishing the previous GTA in October (e.g. They finished Vice City in October 2002, had a little break, then started on SA). Since IV was finished in April 2008, I think this would influence the development cycle on V. A GTA release early in financial year 2013 would make sense in that the money made from it could be plowed into R* other titles (principally Agent) and also form a buffer if other R* games under-perform. It would also mean that the first GTA DLC could released within the same financial year, which would further help Take-2. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. So here is my prediction: Announcement - Gamescom 2011 Release - sometime between April 2012 and March 2013 Reason for Announcement - well, it's Gamescom, duh! Reason for Release - read it somewhere on the Internet, and a lot of people are saying "Spring 2012!" so, I figure that the previously mention Fiscal Year is probably it. If we were getting a spring 2012 GTA we'd know by now. Let's face it, Rockstar North lost a year of GTA development trying to rescue LA Noire from Team Bondi's incompetent hands. The month is because many GTA releases have been in october, also $2 profits where announced by take 2 for fiscal year 2013. There was already a thread like this though, quite a while ago.
