No one tried to guess my riddle?  sad.gif

My poor unloved pockets.

Probably because your post was the last one on the last page and so nobody noticed it. As for your question...

What's in my pocket?

Is that a pencil in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

With pointed fangs it sits in wait,

With piercing force it doles out fate,

Over bloodless victims proclaiming its might,

Eternally joining in a single bite.

What am I?

I think we should start asking original riddles. Or at least ones that aren't known well enough to pop up on Google's 1st page.

I agree.

most of these are just typing "riddles" into Google and then copy/pasting.

ok when I was in summer camp a long time ago one of my counselors told us a puzzle/riddle that was pretty entertaining to try and figure out.

it has its own little rule: the answer is a metaphor. this means the answer is not something that is physically possible.

it's a play on words. that's your only hint.

we eventually figured it out but it took awhile to wrap our minds around it (we were young).

it goes like this...

there's a man who has been locked in a room.

there's only one door that allows access to the room.

the door only opens from the outside.

the room has 4 walls.

inside the room are 2 objects: a wooden table in the center and a glass mirror standing in the corner.

the man looked in the mirror and saw what he could saw.

he then escaped the room.

so

how did he escape?

oh and hopefully no one ever heard this before because it's fun to watch what people guess.

I'll give the answer later if no one gets it.

He stood on the table and jumped over one of the walls. (four walls nothing said about a ceiling or roof.)

oh I guess the ceiling was implied by "room." sorry.

we probably guessed that once, too lol.

but no that's not it.

remember the answer is a metaphor, not physical.

you're on the right track with "cutting."

you picked up on one of the key clues.

the man saw what he could saw and then escaped.

No Google here, so I might be off a bit. I sorta remember this one though, or a similar one...

He looked in the mirror, saw what he saw, grabbed the saw, cut the table in half, two halves make a (w)hole, and he climbed out the hole and got away.

Something like that, can't remember the whole saw part.

In the room of a train station lay Romeo and Juliet, dead on the floor. The only significant items in the room are a table, some broken glass, and a water-stained carpet. How did they die?

Romeo And Juliet are Fish. They were in a bowl which had been knocked off the table by either a cat or a person.
