I unsubscribed from two channels multiple times and the next day I'm always subscribed to them again. So basically I cannot unsubscribe from these two channels. Did anyone else encounter this problem?

Also, can anyone recommend some good movies involving cars? Not necessarily racing movies but something that involves cars that was made recently (nothing made before the '90s).

You're excluding all the best by setting an arbitrary date limit. My favourite of the more recent road movies is Death Proof. Going back a bit you've got Ronin which is also fantastic. Then we have:

Vanishing Point

Duel

The original Gone in 60 Seconds

Le Mans

The Cannonball Run

Death Race (the original one)

The first two Mad Max films

The French Connection

Bullitt

The recent Senna film and the other recent Formula 1 film I can't remember the name of about James Hunt look pretty good but I've not seen either yet. Rush, that's it.

Don't bother with The Transporter series, they're a bit cack.

They just keep writing it longer and longer. One day they're gonna reach a point where nobody's gonna read what they write because it's gonna be paragraphs long. :/

Question: Does Civilization: Revolution play a lot like the other games? Would I be able to pick it up after playing V for a while and get into it easily?

Anyone else experiencing snow?

Where are you from? It's mid-April, even we don't have those kind of temperatures right now.

My favourite of the more recent road movies is Death Proof.

Really? I had high expectations when I watched it and all it did was leave me with a massive what-the-hell-did-I-just-watch expression on my face. Definitely ... different... from any other movies I've ever watched. Maybe I was just too slow to grasp the concept of it all but to me it just seemed like 0% plot and 100% arbitrary killing.

How much of the salary do you actually save up put it in the bank? After all the food, electric, water and gas are paid and other stuff like clothes, game, sky tv. How much do you as actually have left over? Let say a person earns 30K per year and lives on his own in a apartment

Were you thinking of maybe Death Wish 3? Death Proof was mostly dialogue and plot and 110% of Kurt Russell being a motherf*cking boss.

Serious question: Has Kurt Russell ever had a 'low' in his career?

I don't live on my own, and have a mortgage rather than renting, and earn a fair bit more than that, but I put away about 30% of my net salary in savings on a good month. On a bad month it will be nil. Really does vary a great deal but I probably average about 20%.

The more you earn, the higher a proportion of your income you can put away as savings as the living costs between someone with a take-home salary of £25k after tax and £50k after tax isn't going to be anything even remotely close to double.

Yeah, I know. I've seen most of these movies on some of the lists I've found on the Internet and I was a bit surprised by the lack of modern movies on these lists, so I thought this genre has faded into obscurity (hence why I'm interested in modern films, since older ones are all over the Internet). I'll check out Death Proof and Ronin (I can't believe I didn't see this one) and then I'll see the older ones.

I think I watched all of the Transporter movies and from what I remember they place more emphasis on action\fighting than driving and they're not that good like you say.

You should watch Motorway if it's driving you're after.

Old movies from the 40's, 50's and 60's similar to LA Noire?

Bit vague, I know, but I need a few movies to watch in my free time, and I thought I'd try some left-field kinda stuff.

The Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep and Chinatown come to mind. Oh, and He Walked by Night, that one is really similar to LA Noire.

There are way to many to list here. Have a look at this list.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_film_noir_titles

If you enjoy the style, you're in for a treat because there are a ton of good examples of it in all eras.

Also, read up on the style - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_noir

There are also lots of newer noir style films like Chinatown or LA Confidential you would enjoy if you liked La Noire.

How many of you out there just need a day off sometimes? I personally never call into work. 4 years with a company and I've called in less than 10 times. Multiple were associated with a death and funeral arrangements. Today I just felt like I needed sometime. What are some if your most reliable excuses to use when calling into work that doesn't make you feel bad?

I lost some weight and want to build some more significant muscle, so I'm braving the market of "body building" supplements, but my body is my temple, so I did some further research and discovered a lot of these products are either "legal" steroids or contain substances that are linked to strokes, cardiac arrests, cancer etc. Are there any products that are actually safe and don't require me to draft my will prior to using them?

Stick to pure creatine powder, do your research on it and you'll see why its great. It works extremely well and is safe as long as you don't have any outstanding medical problems. Its also completely natural, its best to steer clear of all those synthetic supplements. But yeah, do your research and see what you think.

The only one that immediately springs to mind is Creatine. It doesn't work in the same manner as steroids and has been proven safe as a supplement by the EU. The only health problems that are associated with pure creatine is water retention (so not great for people that are on diuretics for things like hypertension). It can also exacerbate pre-existing kidney problems that are characterised by water retention but shouldn't cause any new problems to develop in a healthy individual.

It is important to note, however that this refers to pure creatine. You should probably look on the internet for independent tests of brands for contaminants before committing to any single brand however, as nobody really knows what these contaminants could do to you in repeated doses.

Non clinical effects of steriods have effects like high testosterone levels and aggressive behaviour, which often results in violent acts. There are facial effects like oedema in which cheeks beome puffed and round. Eye infections are common as well. There is also significant increase in cholesterol levels leading to cardiovascular problems.

The old Film Noirs are really great films. Start with The Big Sleep to ease into it, classic Bogey and I've never heard of anyone disliking it.

If you're into reading (or even if you're not, they're so easy to read) you should pick up some Raymond Chandler novels.

Can anyone recommend me some good ''mindf*ck'' movies? I'm not looking for a mindf*ck of a mindf*ck like the ''Inception'' though. I'm searching for something similar to any of these movies:

- ''The Game'' from 1997

- ''The box'' from 2009

- ''The mist'' from 2007

- ''Shutter island'' from 2010

- ''Limitless'' from 2011

I would also like that you don't recommend anything Harry Potter-like, LOTR-like etc.
