You can try that, joining channels uninvited. There are no real restrictions except if you start talking about llamas on #llamachat, for example. On the other hand, you'd do just fine talking about eggs on #eggchat.

I was wondering how do people afford expensive af cars ? Like I was on the 10 Granville today and during that 40 minute bus ride I saw more luxury sports cars than a Honda Civic. Like over 6 Lambo's, 5 Ferrari's, 3 Aston Martins, 4 Audi R8's, and a bunch of Porsche's and other cars. Like here was one pic I was able to get since I was going the opposite direction as them and they were speeding. But yea are all these people in debt or did they all win the lotto ?

Its also a lot to do with priorities, of course either way to be driving something like a Lamborghini you have to have a large amount of income but you'd be surprised how many people are able to get these cars on a much lower wage than you'd expect. A friend of mines dad is a college teacher and he drives a brand new convertible Porsche, something you wouldn't expect your average teacher to be able to afford, but if you really do want it and its one of your priorities you can save and make cut backs elsewhere to be able to afford it.

 

Not that you can own a Porsche or Ferrari by working at Mcdonalds of course.

I'm not expecting this future album to sell many copies (a free version will be available) but I would also give this person subsequent payments depending on how much profit I would make off it, so that should be taken in consideration too when you come up with a price. I have some numbers in mind but I am pretty much completely clueless if my offer would be reasonable or not. I should also mention that this person is not a model or anything. The person I have in mind is neither of those things. She's basically someone I know from the Internet. Even if she were a friend or acquaintance, I would still pay her since it would mean that I would really want them to appear on my cover. Yeah, I was thinking of giving her the rights to use the photo as well as paying her. I'm thinking of converting the photo into vector graphics art with the help of an artist.

 

That wouldn't be necessary. A reasonably high quality cellphone pic would do the trick since it will be converted to a whole different format. What I had in mind was in the €500 - €1000 range since I really want this person to appear on the cover and I would also want to support her work, but it will depend on how much money I will have by then.

For an album cover design (hand drawn artwork) I would charge £375, and that of course involves work.

 

Therefore paying 1000 euros for a likeness is very generous!
