I disagree. Asking a simple question as "Would I be a good cook?" doesn't imply that you will be terrible in the kitchen. Don't get me wrong - I'm sure there are plenty of good reasons supporting your answer, but a simple "No" isn't good enough to convince me.

From personal experience walking round posh parts of London, I'd have to say yes. It is still very true.

Well commiting 'forum suicide' is not always on purpose. But you do something that you just know you'll be banned for, unlike requesting a ban where you are not breaking any rules. The person doesn't just wake up and think "I'm gonna commit forum suicide". It's like one of those moments where you do something withouth thinking and then you realise "sh*t.. I shouldn't have done that". Only it's too late cause your banned. Though I think some members do make their exit from GTAF memorable on purpose.

 

Apparently he did request the ban for study time (not sure if legit..) as he said so on the Nation States site.

It took about a week to get mine banned. I know it usually takes a few moments but moderators\administrators are busy sometimes.

Lets just clarify the situation, Shayan did not commit forum suicide, he requested the ban.

But the staff would know better on what's going on, if they said he requested it then I guess he did. I suppose Shayan could've just been making it up then. Anyway, sorry for any confusion.

There was some confusion w.r.t your account as it matched that of a PBM. We had to make sure, so it took time. Don't generalize.
