Anyone here still have land line phones? Or is pretty much everyone going cellphone only these days? My family has one but idk why since the only people that call it are bill collectors and telemarketers.

We have one but we rarely ever use it. Most ISPs here kinda force you to get one unless you want a custom package that's likely to be more expensive or you get discounts for say the Internet service if you also get a phone.

I'm trying to think of a song title and so far I've come up with this: Fate Will Keep Us Apart (Or Bring Us Together)

 

The song is supposed to be about two people, one of which likes the other but doesn't know whether they will ever get to be together because some things are out of his control (hence the fate part). Is the grammar correct? It's unclear whether keep apart means what I think it means so I would like some clarification on that since online dictionaries don't help much. I actually don't really like this title since it's too long and I generally prefer 1-3 word titles, but it does seem to hit the nail on the head in terms of meaning. If you can think of a shorter title that conveys the same message I would be glad to hear it.

How much money does one person need to spend per year?

This includes gas, electricity and water bills.

Groceries.

Roughly:

1000$US per month for housing.

300$US per quarter water.

100$US per month (minimum) Power

Now food, that depends on what you eat and how often...

1$US up per meal, simple maths what you eat per day times 365. (1,000$US up per year)

 

So roughly 3,000$ to 6,000$ per year.

 

What about $12k a year for rent?

1$ per meal but 1000$/month for housing?

 

What twisted economical landscape do you live in, my friend?

I would say that's about average to rent an apartment in the US. Of course f you live in NYC or San Fran. It would be almost twice that for average. But that's countered by areas in the south where you can rent apartments for like $600 per month. My rent is $835 for a two bedroom but its in the midwest.

 

Oh okay, I mean like when I move out when I'm older and actually buy a flat with 3 bedrooms, 1 lounge, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom. I was wondering how much we would need to spend.

It's correct to an english speaker, not sure about the grammar technicalities, but it's culturally correct at least. Fate is a cockblocker, basically, is what I get from the title.

Thanks for the suggestions all. But I ended up foolishly doing what Trevor did to his beer bottles in GTA 5 = placing the cap on the edge of the counter and slamming the bottle down. In the end, the coke blew up everywhere.

 

 

At least I cleaned it up and I have 5 other bottles left to try on.

You can use a bic lighter or the handle of a brush or wooden spoon, Google it.

Anything that can be used as a lever will work. A piece of wire, block of wood, hook on a bungee cord, spoon, fork, butter knife. Almost anything rigid really. But still, I've shown people how to do this and a lot of people just don't get it. There is an unteachable knack to it.

That's actually good one but it omits the last part of the title and the song isn't supposed to be about something that's already a fact. It's supposed to be about something that will happen eventually.

Your account details are stored in Sony's servers. If you create a new PSN account, then you are starting from scratch.

Ok 3 computer issues:

 

When I try to downlaod iTunes i get an error that reads "could not access network location A\program files\ common files" does anyone know how to solve this?

My desktop is now replicating the desktop folder on the C drive 9local disk) and not the A drive, which is my main drive since the C drive is a 60GB SSD and the A is a 2TB HDD. does anyone know hoe to solve this?

I also want to ensure that all my music, pictures and everything I do saves onto the A drive, I already assured this with steam and downloads but how to i ensure it with everything else?

 

this never happened before until today and it is now irritating the f*ck out of me. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

How did you manage to assign A to a HDD? A and B are generally reserved via BIOS and board for floppy drives.

 

Have you tried using disk manager and assigning a different letter to the one that is currently A?

 

If you are using windows libraries to manage your pics, videos, and all that kind of stuff you can right click the library and in the properties you can add and delete storage locations.

 

For some reason, I feel my ramble isn't going to help.

Assigning a different letter won't do anything I'm afraid. I did try that, I even tried installing it on my C drive, didn't work. You did help with the 3rd thing, I think this might end up saving pictures to my A drive now and not the C drive. So thanks for that, that solves the background problem

Sound like you may have some f*cked up environment variables. Hard to tell without looking. Maybe right click computer -> advanced system settings -> Environment variables and take a look at the 'path' info. Make sure you don't have something like a:\program files\common...heck you may even be able to solve your issue by adding c:\program files\common to your path.

 

Tons of things could be causing the issue.
