Whats the difference between irony and sarcasm?

 

The two confuse me. 

I had to smile when I saw your question, but it's actually a pretty good one.

I learned such things like metaphor's very recently, but I already forgot

 

Looked it up, because I also wanted to know.

The Dutch Wikipedia is pretty clear:

 

'Sarcasm is saying something which you don't mean, it's the opposite.

The difference between sarcasm and irony is that sarcasm is actually always meant unfriendly.

Whereas irony is not.' <-- Example, the thing what someone said before. 'Getting knocked down by an ambulance' or such.

@Prominent Fate and Nitesh.  It looks like I need to work something in for people who use spaces in their account names and image names.

 

If you want to use the service for now(until I get off my lazy ass and make some fixes) you may want to create new accounts with out spaces in the username and use graphics without spaces in the names too.

 

And I do thank you folks for finding this issue out.

EDIT: I made a new account with no spaces, re-named all of my images and uploaded around 4-5. I clicked on my personal URL and the web-page couldn't be displayed and it won't work as my avatar, either.

All better. It was a stupid mistake on my part with how I handled the avatars since that was a late added feature. If you didn't have any sigs uploaded, avatars would not work. That is no longer the case.

 

I also noticed that the spaces is not an issue. I thought I had tested that out in the beginning, and I guess I had.

Weigth fluctuates. No one has a steady weight, watching it over a few days on any one will show this.

As long-term use continues, the small arteries will begin to shrink, and scarring can occur. This can cause irritation and drying of the mucous lining of the nasal passages. Not only is this an uncomfortable feeling in itself, but sores can develop, or one can suffer frequent nosebleeds.

Something as simple as eating a lot of carbohydrates during a day will spike your weight. You should weigh yourself in weekly, and under similar circumstances every week (purge before doing it etc) for the most accurate results.

No, there isn't a way to actually make sure you can view an official video without the ad' going. However, you could search for exactly the same and find the video uploaded by another YouTube account and try that. It's usually just the official channels (such as IGN) that do the advertisements.

I'm struggling on where to put a thread. The thread's going to be a story thread which I'm going to keep updated every 2-3 days, adding at-least 5+ paragraphs each update, until the release of GTA V. Now, the reason I'm struggling on where to post the thread is that the story's going to be based of gameplay from my personal PC/PS3/360 IV:MP gaming on Free Mode/Party Mode. The story will be based around some of the realistic things I do on Free Mode/Party Mode when I'm not being disturbed by other players, and when I'm in a Free Mode/Party Mode alone (like a single player roleplay, if you will).

 

Where would you say I put this thread - in the GTA IV section, or in the Writer's Discussion?

If I was you, I would put it in the IV section, but i'm not sure, because the Writers Discussion is more non-GTA related disscusions.
