My dad went out and bought some McDonalds for me today, and I ordered a 5 pc. nuggets to go along with my fish filet. When he comes home he says "Sorry Joe Chip, they didn't have those McNuggets you ordered." Then I got really disappointed. That Filet of Fish wasn't going to be enough to satiate my hunger without nuggets.

 

 

But most McDonalds food is pretty sh*t on its own. You need to get multiple items or else eating it is really disappointing. Maybe that was enough to make her snap.

In my 33 years I have not heard a positive thing, but my back is still f*cked and it's a choice between a massage parlor (bonus: happy ending) or a chiropractor. My old man had severe back problems when I was young. As a child I can remember him crawling across the floor in agony and unable to work his business - he was a mechanic at the time. I don't know what treatments he explored prior to going to a chiropractor but he put a good chunk of money into visiting a highly qualified one at the local football club. Hasn't had back problems that severe since and it must have been fifteen years since his treatment.

How do I get over overreacting when ever somebody wants to sift through my personal stuff? Let me just put it this way, back in May of 2012 my mother went through some of the things I posted on Yahoo Answers in front of everyone in the house and it was incredibly embarrassing. I have been paranoid of somebody sifting through my stuff ever since, and even though I have nothing to hide these days, I still somewhat overreact when my mom wants to use my phone or my laptop. How do I get over that?

Get a guest account and make them use it. You aren't overreacting and your internet activity is private.

 

I think that's debatable. If you live under your parents roof and don't pay any of the bills (don't know if you do, Stingy) you're not really entitled to 100% privacy.

Not really as my parents usually do respect our privacy. They bought this laptop for me and only for me as well. She was looking for hotels to stay at in Houston back in May 2012 and I opened a new page for her, idiotically leaving my other page open. She, not well with computers, somehow left her tab and when she tried to open it back up, she opened mine instead.

I heard this interesting trancey sounding song on the radio today. It started off like a trance song but then it had some guitar and sax sections, and then finally some vocals that I don't even remember the lyrics of. It sounded like a somewhat obscure indie song so I don't really expect anyone to know it but then again, I've heard songs like this one on the radio before and they turned out to be more popular than I thought. I would really love to know the name of the song. It had female vocals and the part where she sang was kinda small compared to the rest of the song which was mostly instrumental (trance-like sounds, guitar, and then sax).

 

The thing that blew my mind was that the voice of the singer sounded almost exactly like someone I know on the Internet. It blew my mind but there is very little chance that it was her since she's not a signed artist or anything like that.

 

 

Edit: I found it. It sounds a lot like her but it's a different person and a very popular song actually.

You would have to ask the copyright owners, which would probably be the Music Company that produced it. If that doesn't exist then you probably will have to ask the creators of the song, but it'll probably be whatever company bought the corpse of the defunct music company.

Works created after January 1, 1978, are protected for the life of the creator plus 70 years.

 

If the band doesn't exist and the song is like 20 years old you may be able to get limited rights for free just by asking the owner. Finding the true owner might be difficult. I would start with the label that published the song since that will be the easiest email to dig up(probably). Opening up communications with someone from the band would be the fun way to do it. Just be nice and clear as to why and where you want to use the song.

 

I've always been surprised at how much people are willing to talk and give stuff up if you just ask. Example: I have rights to use stuff published by The Bathroom Reader simply because I asked.
