What happened to the 'members viewing this topic' feature? It seems to be kinda good to give them back since these allow us some members to know who are currently reading those topics.

 

 

Removed temporarily to speed up the site. There are over 5,000 people on the network just now.

 

That's what adamcs said. It's to mainly to improve the speed of the site. It will be back later.

Your situation spurred a question in my head. If you pick up an Xbox for V will you be able to download the updates/patches without having Live?

Meh. I wouldn't get Xbox Live anyway because I won't ever be a console gamer. I'm mainly thinking of getting a 360 to play VC and III (they have improved graphics, that's why). Maybe newer models already have that compatibility update. As for the patches for V, it should be possible to download them on a flash drive, at least I hope. I would rather buy a PS3 for V, but I won't use it much so it's not really worth it.

My dad was in Russia and he traveled around the country without knowing the language if that's what you meant.

Yeah thats what i meant, i dont know a single word in russian, and i dont know if russians are well acquainted with english. eh i guess after staying there for a while picking the language wouldnt be so hard.

I don't think you can because it's based on the Website settings. What you can do is that you could type the text in the color you want and make it into an image. Then link the image to the pages you want it to go to. It just might work if GTAForums allows multiple images in your signature.

I hear ya. I never thought I would own a console. I picked up my first 360 just to see what gta games were like on consoles.

 

If you are used to playing III,VC, and SA on PC I would recommend saving your money.

Most of the younger generation can speak some English. That is, if they didn't drop out of school. The younger generation in major cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg are fluent. I was there to visit a friend last year.

If English is your first language, then I suggest that you start to learn Russian before you get to Russia. The grammatical genders in Russian makes it hard for a native English speaker to learn. Also, you need to get the accent right. Russians might find it hard to understand you if you speak with your original accent. To me, the Russian syllables sound more clear and distinctive to each other when compared to English. The syllables in an English word sound more connected to each other, if you know what I mean.

It hadn't had a reply in four weeks.

I believe he thinks you meant how many replies a topic has and by who as there is a option that lets you see the replying list "###" is for the total number of replies the topic has

 

But the little feature at the bottom that showed who was viewing the topic is now gone

 

Not sure if it's ever coming back as it was still being used even when the new system was active (It later was removed)

Wow, that sucks. I don't get why anyone would want to remove it. So now we get to see the last 5 people that looked at our profile, which is useless, but not who is viewing a topic, which is quite useful.

Wow, that sucks. I don't get why anyone would want to remove it. So now we get to see the last 5 people that looked at our profile, which is useless, but not who is viewing a topic, which is quite useful.

That is not a permanent change, it is only temporarily. It stresses the servers a lot to show the active userlist, and given that over 5,000 users are online on daily basis, and it continues to increase with each day, it's better to disable it until the activity is going down again to improve the loading times of the forum and the GTANetwork.

Okay, I fixed the map.

 

Texas is part of the southwest and the south like Tacymist said. East Texas is also part of the "deep south" which is different from the rest of the south because the economy there relies on agricultural production (with all of the culture and politics that come with an agricultural economy.)
