What inspires you to consume so much time discussing trivial subjects in the "Off-Topic" sections (particularly General Chat) and little to no time in the GTA sections discussing your "favorite" GTA game?

I'm not saying all when I say this but there is a large majority of users who hang around the GTA:V section, that when I venture into there I feel my IQ dropping by the second.

 

Yes Gen Chat has it fair share of Short Bussers but it's more tolerable, because most of them can spell or at least be understood and they haven't gone full Steiner.

Cause I prefer to talk to people who aren't retarded? Seriously, like Croke said, a lot of the posts make you feel like your IQ is dropping by the second. It is also full of fights over trivial things. It's not a very pleasant place to be.

 

 

Plus here, I can talk about whatever I want to talk about. While in the GTA sections, I can only really talk about GTA. And add the fact that I've been here for 7 years, there really isn't that much to add to the discussion about my favorite GTA or anything related to it.

I joined for the GTA IV section, but general chat is what made me stay. It's different than a lot of places I've been to online, in a good way. It combines a bunch of good qualities from other websites, and has less bad qualities (most of the time), is how I'd describe it. The people here are also pretty nice.

 

The sense of superiority over the GTA sections (especially V) is kind of sickening sometimes though. I mean, it's not a nice place, but the constant complaints about it are almost as irritating as those people who call each other summerfags on 4chan.

I have found plenty of them for San Andreas (Hell On Wheels, Great Theft Car and so on), then I've found a pretty good one for III - Frosted Winter. But I have still not found a great total conversion mod for Vice City. Do you guys know any of them? I would be happy to discover at least one.

 

For those who don't know - total conversion mods change most aspects of the game, including storyline, features etc. and add new things sometimes, like cars, weapons, textures etc.

Because unlike the Game (M, AO) rating the Forum is required to be more PG or the Advertisers will pull their ads, thus taking away the revenue that keeps the forum alive.

The security and tool box's used to have a program that checked sectors on the Hard Drive and did a write/raad of the memory that looked for bad spots. I remember having on from Norton back in the days of DOS.

This should work. (And it's FOSS!) Download it as a bootable iso and boot that sh*t up, yo.

 

e: You might have to swap them around the slots to be able to tell if it's a slot problem, or if the RAM is the one that's f*cked.

Still looks like an Arial variant to me, it may be something at your end if it shows as Times New Roman.

Even sh*te universities are going for the maximum rate (£9000), so I wouldn't give that much hope in finding a good one for a reasonably cheaper amount.

 

Apart from that it depends on where you live and how far you're willing to go.

Are you a foreign student? If your country is in the EU then you'll pay £9000/year at most universities that are worth going to. If your country isn't in the EU then your fees will be greater but still cheaper than universities in many countries. As far as I know the UK is unlike some countries in that individual universities have very little difference between them in the terms of cost per year.
