So, after playing on my brother's laptop yesterday I forgot to shut it down before going to sleep. I only closed it so that it went into sleep mode, when I woke up in the morning I found it still on and the charger was also on and it was on full. Basically it was on sleep mode, should I be worried about anything?

Oh and if the charger is used too much (I.e. still plugged in when full) the battery life can be diminished but this won't be done by one night of negligence I think.

I leave my laptop on charge all the time haha, and I only turn it off when I get a BSOD. Like Nate said, the only bad thing to come of it is diminishing your battery faster than usual over time, but for 30 bucks you can get a replacement after 2 years or whatever when the battery life goes to sh*t. I've had mine two years and I can still watch an hour of youtube before it dies despite this plug in and leave it charging.

 

Like I said, replacement batteries are easy. I'm due for one soon.

Can you tell me which account it is? It may be that it's still not validated. Either that, or he forgot to log in after he validated his account, though that should automatically log in the user.

 

You'd be better off asking about this in the GTA Network Support forum, since staff mainly visits that place and could take better care of your friend's issue there.

For the Skype try to go to Tools -> Options -> Audio settings.

 

Then change your microphone or speaker settings there.

I don't know, but I think there might be a limit on how long you can keep the sig. my sigs use to be gifs, but they got disabled one day. I had them for about a week before they got disabled.

Your signature must be within the size limits of 150x500 and under 80kb in size which is more than enough.

 

Also GTAction that's bullsh*t that your sigs got disabled, I f*cking loved them.

Every time I click Place or Open, the window to choose the file/image you want to open or place never shows up. I'm using Photoshop CS6 btw.

Hey guys, so I bought 800msp and I got some GTA V avatar stuff. The FIB outfit and abseiling outfit, i have 200msp left and I don't know what to spend it on, I might save them but I probably won't get msp again for a good while as I don't buy much marketplace stuff, is there any good themes for 200? Or arcade games? There's probably not much stuff for 200msp...

and tech chat is too inactive to help, so has anyone got any ideas

If BIOS settings were reset, this is something that'd have to be adjusted again. If this is the problem, your best bet is finding the manual for the motherboard and going through descriptions of any memory-related settings.

it is still 64 bit

 

ok thanks I'll check the BIOS again, no it says 6144MB of memory so it isnt that. I think they have jsut messed soemthing up because 2GB have been dedicated to hardware, this should not be the case, it wasn't the case before.

The BIOS would report all 6GB as installed, but how these 6GB are accessed still matters. Windows (or whatever) should also be telling you something along the lines of "6GB installed, 4GB available." It can still be due to BIOS settings in this case. Look through the manual and try running searches on Google with your specific mobo or Laptop model.

I go on holiday Monday, and i recently bought a new camera for the occasion. Unfortunately i didn't realize when i bought it that it took AA batteries and wasn't rechargeable. So will it be okay to bring batteries in my luggage? And if yes, would it be better suited in my suit case or hand luggage?

 

Might seem like a silly question, but you never know what rules and regulations there are in place.

AA batteries tend to be fine either way, but there is less potential for problems if you leave them in the bag you are planning to check in. It's not that AA batteries are going to get you into any actual trouble, but they can look suspicious on security scan, which might delay you while they go through your stuff.
