Was the existence of Jewish concentration camps in WWII common knowledge amongst German citizens? Or was this a state secret?

I'm sure it was meant to be secret, but I bet the non-Jews eventually started to think one day "Um, where did the Jews go?"

I think it eventually turned more into-

Camp Guard: "You don't see anything."

German: "What if I do see something?"

Camp Guard: "You join them."

German: "I don't see anything moto_whistle.gif "

*whistles merrily while muttering "Heil Dur Furher..." sweating and looking over shoulder*

I mean, many concentration camps were located just outside populated areas. People would begin to question what they are for, and if they got too curious... Well, you get the idea. Socialist Dictatorships for ya icon14.gif

Concentration camps started out as Forced labour camps. Prisons for dissidents, criminals, and later the unhuman species. Where 'free' labour was available.

It was later that some were built as extermination camps.

You can't keep the stench of burning flesh a secret.

Kind of like what the U.S. Guantanamo Bay facility might become if Islam continues to be degraded.

Yeah, it should be good enough for most games. But I recommend you getting a 4X2 8 GB kit. Ram is pretty cheap to purchase anyways these days.

If you have to choose between 6 and 8GB DDR3-RAM, then you should go with the latter one, it's worth it because the difference of the price shouldn't be all that big. However, if you already have 6GB RAM, then I would keep it as it is now. If you're going to purchase RAM, perhaps buy one with at least 1333MHz, the price differeces between the clock speeds aren't that big, either.

For my Business finals, my friend and I are simulating an entrepreneurship - a resteraunt. We need to find information on wholesale prices (as in, buying hundreds of supplies at once such as drinks/patties/fries/dough, etc... Where can we find this pricing information and where can we buy our restaurant supplies from?

Nobody?

Kitchen supplies are the hardware used in the kitchen. Google for pages of suppliers.

Restaurant Furnishings: Are the dining room tables, chairs, rugs, lighting fixtures. Google for pages of suppliers.

Victuals: are the food stuffs you prepare and sell. These are local market items available usually at butchers, fishmongers, and farmers markets. The co$ts are purely local.

[edit] Your labour co$ts for kitchen staff, and servers can be gotten from the Department of Labour statistics.

Don't forget to allow for bribes to the health department, and building department inspectors. smile.gif

Thanks a bunch!! biggrin.gif

Alright, so if I wanted to play GTA IV or GTA SA, would I get 60+FPS? On high/max settings?

Edit: I was going to upgrade later this year (Nov/Dec) or early next year anyway. icon14.gif

In this case, your GPU, Processor and the resolution in which you run the game is more important then the amount of RAM installed. What's your PC specs?

You can easily max out GTA San Andreas, the game's almost nine years old, as long as the rest of the system specifications is not very low-end (e.g. older netbooks, et cetera). As for GTA IV, you only need 4GB RAM (6-8GB would be perfect) combined with a decent GPU ala GTX660Ti and a quad-core CPU as for example an Intel Core i5 are good enough for maxed out settings, usually. However, there is no way to get constant 60+ FPS, the game is far from being well optimized. It would help if you list your system specifications.

[Edit] I was talking about netbooks of the older generations, forgot to mention it. Thanks for the correction, finn4life.

Make a topic in the tech &.PC section with your budget, we will put together a build, there are more tech heads there to find the best possible rig for you.

Just an FYI, any new PC aside from atom netbooks will run San Andreas on high. Running Gta IV on high along with other current gen games you will need to spend around 600-700.

Like I said, make a topic in Tech & PC.chat.

You bought a PC without knowing the specifications? That's a really, really stupid thing to do, buying Computers is something you should thoroughly research. My laptop that I own was a total bargain when I bought it, the price was about $200 dollars less than most Laptops with the same specifications, and over $1000 cheaper than some laptops with the same specs.

If I were a fool I could have spent up to a thousand dollars more, do you understand how much money that is when I only paid I think about $800 originally?

There's a good possibility you were ripped of GTAAction, use this as life advice, always research what you're buying into if it's costly, because otherwise you're going to waste a lot of money in life.

Back then a lot of the medals were used from the contest but over time only a few were kept.

anuj made the- Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal as you can see here.

he also made the annual award medal which you can see in this post.

DiVaio designed the helpfulness award and the provocative discussion award as you can see through this post.

I don't know who designed the major contribution award, it didn't come out of the contest but I think anuj also made that one.

Nice thanks man icon14.gif The best ones won for sure.

Ok, I've got an important question.

My cousin who is 11 years old has a birthday coming up and he has NFS MW (2005) game on his PC which he really likes and talks about it whenever I visit him. So, I came across these mods for that particular MW that replace some of the cars ingame with new cars such as Nissan, Mercedes etc.

Now, I would like to surprise him with this mods cause he likes some cars that aren't in that game, so I'd like to go there and install those mods in his game. The problem is, I have no idea how to install those mods. It says I need some mod loader etc. So, if anyone here did replace and added some mods into that game, can you write me like a step-by-step instructions on how to put mods of certain new cars into that game? What do I need to replace, where to put the folders, mod loader etc.

P.S. I already checked, he has 1.3 version of the game which is needed to install those mods, so I think he's all set.

Thanks smile.gif

Don't Do It! You have no Idea what might happen, since it's his favourite and olde, don't ruin it for him by 'helping'.

What lil weasel said. You might mess up his game and I'm pretty sure that's the last thing he wants. Best would be to ask him whether he would like to have some mods or not. I believe that you can also install another version of MW, so he can keep his game and mod the other one. And perhaps you can teach him how to add mods, if he's interested. smile.gif

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Found many ''instructions'', but I don't feel comfortable doing something I'm not a 100% sure if it'll turn out ok. Well, thanks guys smile.gif

Even if it did go fine, he'll reach 20 and remember how much of a cheap f*ck you were by downloading a mod for him instead of buying him something. tounge.gif

I'm trying to remember some really old thing I saw on the telly once. It was probably from the 1980s or something, but it was these tellies and I think they had cameras or some tracking device in them. It's not "Nineteen-Eighty-Four", though.

Mind you it's probably something really obscure 'cause it was on at my grandad's.

Anyone have a clue what I'm on about?

@LewisM: Guys know about stuff like that as well. Your skin has probably had a slight reaction to the gel, first get someone to give your back scrub either with a loofer or just a rough dry towel to get rid of any dry skin then leave for about 10 minutes to let your skin settle. Then the best thing is to use after sun cream or Aloe Vera gel to cool the skin and moisturise and will as a result reduce the spots, after application leave it to air for about 5 minutes to let the cream or Aloe soak in and dry out.

Why does the search function have flood control??

I believe flood control is enabled to reduce or prevent forum strain. Being someone who uses this feature avidly I could imagine the amount of strain the forum would go through if everyone were to use the search function as much as me with the the flood control disabled. I guess the Admins didn't want to risk anything when it came to this. There was a time where normal members weren't even allowed to use the search function at all for some reason and I'm guessing this had to do something with it.

Thanks for the info man! Btw when did normal members get the ability to use the search function? I've technically been here since 2007 but I never used the search function back then.

It was before you even became a member actually. It was Re-enabled in 2006. Look at this I believe there was another time when users weren't allowed to search member posts as well. I'll look into it and edit the post.

Edit:

Found it, look here. I'm not sure when the native search was disabled in this case after the search function was enabled in 2006 but I know Tank made it available again in early 2011.

Also, another reason to add the flood control is to help speed up the forum. Because if people are searching all the time. That will increase load times for everyone.
