If a topic is deleted rather than locked, that means it's so "horrendous" that it's not "worthy" of remaining in locked format.

It should be noted that no posts or topics are fully deleted. They are just moved to the bin. If staff feel that a topic is not worthy of remaining on the public forums in a locked state then they'll move it to the bin. But Girish said it's entirely dependent on the moderator dealing with it actually. Maybe they're locked so people have an understanding that these types of topics shouldn't be created maybe?

Because there may be interesting content in the thread.

For example person A may be having trouble with San Andreas but the thread helps him and resolves the problem (so the thread is binned).

Now lets say person B comes along and is having the same problem and does a search for it, because the thread has been binned he can not resolve his issue and thus needs to create and new thread.

 

That's why they're not deleted.

Lately, I've been considering changing my hair. I have an idea of what I want it to look like but I wouldn't know how to get the results I would want. I'm looking out to the people who are hair freaks, in one way or another. My hair is pretty smooth but can get oily. I got foils in my hair to change it to blonde but now I'm thinking I want something else; Something long and curly and dark (you are sick minded).

 

 

If I wanted to get these results, how would I change my hair to something that Angus Young would have for example. That picture is an example but there is plenty of other images you'd find if you just used Google. Would I have to curl my hair and let it grow as it's not naturally curly. I have a job in a bakery at the moment, and I don't think I'd keep my job if my hair was that long. Either way, I'd like an answer on how I would get these results if I ever wanted to do so.

I received my first strike on a YouTube video yesterday from a record label. I've contacted them on two email addresses and I didn't get a reply. Since this is a first I didn't wait around any longer to submit a counter-notification (if I wait too long I might lose my chance to do it), so I submitted one today. Apparently the label can sue me to prevent me from making the video public again.

 

My question is: will I get sued if I live on a different continent (the label is from New York and I live in Europe)? They don't own any content on my video. The video is a podcast, basically a mix of songs from old Atari video games that were released under a Created Commons license. I'm 99% sure the content is not owned by them and the composition they identified on my video has a completely different name and is too vague anyway for me to be able to identify.

They can sue you. They can sue you pretty much regardless of whether they have any claim on the material or not. The continents don't matter. They'll drag you to a European court. It just costs them money. The problem is that it would also cost you money regardless of whether you are in the right. So if they decide to sue you, you are kind of screwed.

 

Will they? That's another question. There isn't really any reason for them to bother with it. Usually, they just send out cease and desist orders. But it's really up to individual company's policies.

 

 

In terms of what to do? Make sure you get things sorted with YouTube first. If they agree that there is no copyrighted material and clear the strike, and you have made your best attempt to notify the company, you can go ahead and re-post. They can still sue you, but you'd have good grounds for a counter-suit, and on that you might be able to get a "free" alwyer. Id est, a lawyer who wold agree to work for countersuit money if he manages to win any.

 

Of course, there is still a risk.

What the hell have I gotten myself into. YouTube have denied my counter notification once (apparently I didn't do it properly) and I've submitted it again. YouTube checks it and then decides whether or not to send it to the alleged content owner which then will decide what to do. If they release the strike my video will be back. I won't upload it again otherwise.

 

The strange thing is that this is the second time I received this notification. An identical one (from the same record label) was already removed when I disputed it.

Recently I purchased the GameStop "Pro" rewards card. It was not sold for a bad price... Anyway, it came with a Game Informer 12 Month digital subscription, but when I try to sign up on the website I can't view the latest issue?

I got in a fight with one of my bitch ass friends, and I need some advice. He's black and got attitude. And he's a PS3.

 

So it's stopped reading my discs, the little prick. I put Fifa in and it worked for about 5 minutes, and then it froze. Then it made some weird noises and tried to eject the disc, without MY command, but it's a low life piece of sh*t so it failed miserably of course. I tried to reset the console (it's a slim) but it wasn't having any of it, no matter how many times I pressed the button. So then I tried to eject it, and it did eject the disc, like the obedient bitch that it is. So then because it was being awkward I had to reset the console by switching it off at the plug, and I did that.

 

Now it won't read any discs, I've tried 4 different ones. It gave me the error (80010514). It just makes some weird noise when it tries to read the disc.

 

Has anyone else had this happen? I'll ring Sony tomorrow, or I might e-mail them actually because I really don't want to talk to one of their condescending desk people. I'd really rather not pay to get it repaired also. I've had it a while, about 3 and a half years I think. It'd be better to just buy a new one if it's not fixable.

 

So to recap:

 

-Won't read discs

-Error (80010514)

-3 and a half years old

-Slim (100GB? I think...)

-No previous problems with this one

You could try restoring file system, You won't lose any Data unless it's corrupted. If that doesn't work, look up lens cleaning for PS3.

Exercising is one of the best ways to do this, lift weights, go jogging, or ride a bike, or do all three and you'll feel pretty stress free like me.

 

I actually don't think exercise is one of the best ways, I think it is the best way to do it.
