I thought it was a pretty good game, it doesn't have to be open-world to be good.

My ex-girlfriend has my PS2 so I don't play it.

a COD single player campain

Why did you mention COD?

It has nothing to do with this at all.

What I meant was; missions are linear, objective to objective, with no wondering around or doing the mission your own way. To me, thats what COD single player is like.

Also, im not a fanboy, I play BF and COD. But the world was a better place when Cod was just a fish. bored.gif

A linear Rockstar game? No Waaaaaayyyyy?!?! No wait.

Anywho, I was wondering for the fact that Red Redemption is just about one of the best games ever made in the history of gaming, and I never hear people mention Red Dead Revolver, which is a bit sad.

As for Bread fish, it's related to Jesus feeding the masses with fish, old story from the Bible I feel, it's when you do something truly amazing (a miracle for us! hahaha)

The Oh, Really...owl, that was also a bit of a trick, just short-hand script avatar basically.

That's wholly my opin, but the loafish emoticon means you're offering something up in a sense, even if it's merely a gesture (of good will)

Rockstar originaly didn't make it. The game was cancelled, and they bought rights to it, and added a few of their own touches to it. R* said that "It's not where we want it to be, but it's where we want it with in are time limit." "Is it the way it would be if we originaly made it? No, but we added a few of our own touches to it". Its an okay game for its time, but it's far from perfect, and it is pretty hard. Im stuck on a part in which I have to kill these ghost clowns. lol.gif

Do Take Two and R* have problems with eachother? Like the Macintosh and Apple ][ devision in the 1980's?

I wasn't trying to be "witty", and if I was, I don't think I would have said "No sh*t Sherlock".

I'm curious, maybe one of you may know...

Why do certain places drive on different sides of the road?

Is there an actual reason behind it, or is that just the way it is?

A thread was posted here a while back where you'd answer a few questions about yourself and it would give you a paragraph describing your personality that everyone thought was amazing, but it turned out to be a joke because of a theorem about how anyone attributes an ambiguous description of personality to themselves as long as it is positive.

What is the name of this theorem? It was posted in the thread. I don't remember who made it, though sad.gif

ed: Got it, disregard.

As a bit of extra info even though you've answered it yourself, Cold Reading is the trick of doing that as a magician or illusionist. Derren Brown's particularly good at it. There's one episode of his show (not sure if it was Trick or Treat or Trick of the Mind) where he asks a group of five people to write their name and draw an outline of their hand on an envelope and he comes back to them later with elaborate descriptions that all resonate deeply with the people, he then asks them to read each others and, what do you know, they're all identical. He then goes on to do it it another 2 countries in different languages with translators and it works exactly the same too.

Does anyone know which TV series i'm talking about:

I think it's called ''Armageddon'' or War Armageddon'' or something like that with the word armageddon in. It aired on TV a few years ago, and it lasted 2 or 3 seasons i think. There were 3 main caracters i think,, they lived in some movable cabin, and they were trying to prevent an alien takeover, as they landed on earth and took out human bodies, so they are hunting them and so on. I'm not sure how the main caracters are called, but they were some quite known american actors, i just don't know their names. confused.gif

So help me if you can. tounge.gif

1. The James Bond films, are they british or american? I thought they were american until someone actually asked me, then I wasn't sure.

2. What determines a film's nationality?

British.

2. What determines a film's nationality?

Not sure about this. But if I were asked, I'd say the language used in the film.

I have 2 questions about steam.

If I get a new computer and redownload steam then go on to my account can I redownload the games I had on my old computer without paying for them again?

And can I move my steam folder on to a memory stick and play my games from there?

Edit: Thanks K^2 icon14.gif

A combination of filming location, production company and where the funding comes from.

Yeah. Once you own games on Steam, you can re-download them as much as you want.

You might have to run the installation process again, install to memory stick, and then copy over the folders containing the games. But yes, that should also work.

Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.

I thought it was the language the screenplay is written in?

Like the Fifth Element.

Fifth element is deemed French because the director/writer and production studio are French. You get lots of foreign films written in English, that are still classified as foreign.

I thought it was pretty much what sivispacem said, but I still find it a bit confusing. Is there like a clincher that decides where the film is from or could it have dual nationality? Looking around wikipedia and imdb would lead me to think that the bond films are both british and american. They were produced by Eon Productions (UK) and distributed and I believe co-owned by United Artists / MGM (USA).

I thought it was the language the screenplay is written in?

If this were true, couldn't a movie in french be from Morroco, Haiti, France etc.?

I'd suggest its fairly arbitrary and comes down to the director or studio or other power broker to make that distinction. Seeing as it is so tricky to nail down one factor there may be no convention for it.

Look, I know English and it's subtleties isn't exactly your strong point, so all I'm going to say is this

A movies Origin Country is: Where it was shot, modified by where the Production Money came from.

"Caligula": Italian/USA.

"You Only Live Twice": UK.

Boom.

Also add to that the nationality of the director, but that's more applicable to films in which the director is separate to the production company. Rare these days.

Learn to let things slide. Nothing on the internet is worth the amount of effort you put in to being serious.

Did you proof-read this post? Because it's littered with punctuational errors.
