So the new youtube channels version v567545 are live now

 

(go to your channel page and you'll see the option to switch (www.youtube/yourchannelnamehere.com )). So im wondering can you switch back to the current version if you dont like the new beta one. I know they'll eventually force us to switch, but still, the longer it stays as it is, the better i guess.

It's actually worse than the previous layout, so disorganized and ugly. It put "Related Channels" at the side of my channel at default, had a list of completely unrelated channels that aren't even remotely close to my channel and it's content, then told me disabling the list made it so my channel wouldn't be recommended to other YouTube users.

 

I can't see any way to switch back.

Right, yeah cheers for that.

 

New channels aint that bad though, you do get a chanel banner, something only partners have on the current channels, but it doesnt feel like a channel page anymore with that widget showing your subscriptions and links on the left, and related channels on the right. Remove that, and it will be ok.

The channel banner / cover photo or whatever you like to call it is in my view the only improvement.

I've fallen out with friends (mutual severing of all contact) when it got too hard to maintain our friendship, but I didn't delete them on facebook. She probably doesn't want to burn a bridge, or embarrass you by publicly "de-friending" you. I mean, seriously, "de-friending"? f*cking ouch!

It's pretty lame when people are anti-mainstream music to the extent where they write it all off. I mean, I hate most of the over-produced, pre-packaged teeny bopper garbage out there, but I can still appreciate the aesthetic of a popular song with a good beat.

Think of it this way, lets say those rappers are bad, really really bad. (not saying they are bad, its just an example) But somehow they become popular, new rappers trying to get into the mainstream try to copy them and spread the sh*ttiness. The bad rap replaces the good. Another reason why they would care, is if you keep blaring the music and they tell you its sh*t. And finally, they are closed minded and only like what they like and anything different is automatically sh*t.

It's because you need to stop blaring your crazy rap music at two in the morning from your car loaded up with them massive subwoofers. Some of us have to work in the morning.

It's not that most people care what you listen to. It's more antagonistic of the media than your personal preference...

 

Most just people find it offensive/sacrilegious/disrespectful/damaging to the quality of the art when the mass media treats rappers like Drake, 2Chainz, and Lil' Wayne as if they are the leading artist while ignoring the commentary of the rap/hip hop community as whole.

 

 

This causes the leading authorities on musical quality to be completely out of touch with the musical community itself as they use false indices to label that quality such as popularity (which can be created, destroyed, and generally modified to the liking of record companies who control the market for music). This precedent then serves as an enabler for more sh*tty artists to come along and replicate what they falsely considered to be quality music on that same basis of popularity.

 

 

Due to the often explicit nature of the culture behind rap/hip hop, the mass media only distributes what's "appropriate". This automatically keeps some of the highest quality rap from hitting the radio. Those who "sell out" can access the populations that depend on the mass media for rap/hip hop by censoring the content and themes of their art. Imagine how annoying it would be to live in a world where GTA couldn't reach the masses due to it's explicit nature while lower quality competitors like Saints Row who (hypothetically) cleaned up their content in order to become available to the public enjoy praise and become the benchmark for sandbox-styled 3PS crime adventure games. The genre would be sh*t.

 

 

Thanks to the internet and piracy, people are becoming less reliant on the mass media for music.

Seeing the new OGA banners and noticing the recent people being inducted into the OGA urges me to ask this question: Do the people who joined, I'm more referring to the recent ones, get found or they requested to join? Because I can't imagine them being such gullible to ask and lose their self-esteem.

Well groups never pick-up anybody just because they ask them to do so. You get picked up once you've proven yourself worthy of a group. You must make yourself known, especially in the Off-Topic forums. Asking to be let in only decreases your chances to actually get in. And it's not a matter of how much you were a member on the forum, rather than how you behave.

It depends what you want to work. If you want to do Abs which most people want to do when they do sit ups then you need to do crunches. Don't keep your torso horizontal when you do a sit up otherwise your just working your pelvis. To do a crunch just try to raise the area of your torso directly above your intestines and keep everything else as flat as poss. At most gyms they have these frames which you can use just to get your positioning right. As you do a crunch tense your abs and try to pull yourself up using them. If it starts to burn it means your doing it right.

 

Sit ups won't make you loose weight in your torso though although it is a common misconception. Sit ups build muscle and if you have a bit of a belly, sit ups will make you look looking swollen. Best way to lose weight is any form of cardio but running works especially well.

 

Everyone has Abs. It is a natural part of the human body. If you loose enough fat your abs will show. This is what is known as a skinny pack. A six pack is when you are a well built muscular dude and your six pack has been built up to show through that. Bicycle sit ups are imo the best way to get your abs shredded.

 

If none of this makes any sense just go to a gym and ask the P.T there what they think as they are more qualified to help you than a skinny gay kid like me on GTAF.

Back in the days of olde (1950s) you would lie flat on your back with the hands clasped behind the neck.

Then raise the torso up and forward until you could touch an elbow to the opposite knee.

Lie back down, and then repeat with the other elbow and knee, always keeping the legs straight.
