ok something odd happened the other night

 

my alarm clock ran out of battery last week, not been arsed to change the batteries so I used my phone as an alarm, I stupidly put my phone on top of my clock, and soonafter heard a lot of feedback - to be expected right.

 

but after I removed the phone from on top of the alarm clock i noticed the clock was on - reset to midnight on 1st jan 1999 but it was on. How did this happen?

even weirder my phone's charge increased. ALSO my mobile phone's battery has not gone down, at all since. About 36 hours ago. and my phone is old and usually after 36 hours half the battery is gone.

 

Can somebody please explain how this is possible?

Maybe the batteries on your clock weren't empty and something else was wrong with it. Mobile phones can be unreliable when they indicate how much power they have left. Old phones with old batteries tend to do that but I have also witnessed this on brand new phones. The battery indicator went up sometimes.

possible but it went from 1 bar to full. and something could be wrong with the clock it is 10 years old but it is ticking over now.

2) Why do people talk about Slamman so much I mean I know he was a big spammer back then but why is he so popular among old members?What did he exactly do?

He was basically just really, really annoying and overbearing. He posted in every other topic, and in the ones he did post in, he responded to basically every single post and veered really far off topic, turning the entire thread into a conversation with him that had nothing to do with what we were supposed to be talking about.

 

He ruined countless topics and when he got temp-banned, he sent people long, uninvited PMs because he seemingly couldn't go a week without someone from GTAF listening to his inane ramblings.

 

I personally had a strong dislike for him because basically every time I posted in the "Rate the Song Above You" thread with a hip hop track, he would respond two minutes later and say "I don't like hip hop, sorry" and he did this every time I tried post in there. I never once got to participate in the thread because Slamman has some bizarre, delusional notion that every post is directed at him and every thread revolves around his input.

 

I know that after a while it just seemed like bandwagoning, but he was really getting in the way of the community functioning. How could we carry on a dialogue when every thread becomes a lengthy conversation about all the sh*t Slamman has been up to?

The Genesis Device was a sophisticated technological innovation designed to alleviate sociological problems such as overpopulation and limited food supplies. Its development was completed by a team of scientists led by Carol Marcus and her son, David Marcus, in 2285 on the Spacelab Regula I in the Mutara sector.

 

The device initiated a process of rapid terraforming, by which previously uninhabitable planets could be turned into class M worlds ready for colonization. This was accomplished by launching the Genesis Device, a torpedo-shaped projectile, into a lifeless planet. Upon impact, the device caused a massive explosion, reducing the entire area to subatomic particles. A preprogrammed matrix then reassembled these subatomic particles into the desired configuration, creating an atmosphere and environment habitable for Humans within a matter of hours, regardless of the test area's original composition.

Within an extremely short time, fully developed plant life emerged, but this seemingly tranquil planet had a highly unstable core caused by David Marcus' inclusion of protomatter in its Genesis matrix; this resulted in its aging rapidly. The planet suffered from wind storms, fires, and earthquakes that became more and more violent, until it literally tore itself apart in an explosion almost as tremendous as the one that had created it, destroying the life that had so recently been spawned. Hence, the Genesis Device turned out to be a grand experiment which, due to the use of protomatter in its matrix, ultimately failed.

 

If however you are referring to the band Genesis, then I have no idea what their purpose is, Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel were much better when they went solo and left the band.

Yeah, well, that's a long story. Basically the good old deepthroatgta4 returned who told a lot of crazy stories back in the pre-release time of GTA IV and in the end it seemed that everything he said has something to do with GTA IV. He hinted that GTA IV takes place in a place that represents New York. Deepthroatgta4 returned in 2011 and posted a topic that contained only one image that showed Red Dead Redemption with a street from GTA IV. Why he has done that and what really happened, nobody knows. Adriaan implied that he knows who or what that guy was but he don't wanted to say it.

The ammount of flame/abusive posts are reason enough for the full ban. He was warned a few times and I assume that he got enough chances to change his attitude around the forum, yet he never changed his behaviour. You would think that his posts are not that rule-breaking or at least they break "only" some minor ones but the quantity was the final reason for this action. Nobody gets banned for no reason, that's a fact.

He most likely got banned not for negativity but his obnoxious attitude.

He calls people on the forums idiots, gets mad about everything, and I reported him for PMing me with some retarded message.
