What was before the Big Bang? How could it spawn out of absolute nothingness? I'm Agnostic, so I remain open to the theory that a God might have spawned it.

 

In fact, this is the only reason I remain Agnostic and not Atheist.

There was nothing before the Big Bang (except maybe Friends, Frasier or even How I Met Your Mother), it was an explosion into nothingness. It's a hard concept to wrap your head around that such a thing as 'nothing' can exist, but then you could say that 'nothing' doesn't exist as the 'nothingness' that the known universe exploded into doesn't exist

 

But here's a counter point to that question, if God created the universe and everything, then where did God come from?

There's an incredible ammount of different theories so there is no exact explanation what really happened before and/or what caused the Big Bang. One explanation would be that the current universum is so to speak the child universum of another universum which is funny considering that the word 'universum' is there to describe the biggest something that exists so the room where everything is inside. Another theory is that 'our' universum originated from a black hole from another universum so that at some point, all the energy was compromised in one but only one point until it began to expand which never stopped because the universum is still expanding today and will probably until the matter is so far thinned that the 'Big Rip' happens which in turn has tons of another interesting theories as well. You can search more theories and all possible and insane descriptions of how things began to exist and how they will end and so on.

You're right.

 

Well a couple of ideas come to mind, dogs have spent most if not all of their existence in co-habitation with us humans (after all they are inbred, quasi-chimera, bred for purpose animals whose ancestors are wolves (the animal not that sh*t football club)), and they have probably spent many years watching us taking craps and then burying it cause we don't like the smell of our own sh*t (farts maybe but we draw the line at sh*t), and the dog is doing some sort of copying.

 

The other idea is that it could be from some distant territory marking where they take a dump or slash and then spread the said excretions around the general area to let others know it's their 'hood', however because of above said domestication they've become, excuse the pun, crap at doing it.

 

The final idea is probably the most scientifically accurate of the lot and makes much more sense than the other other two, is that dogs like wearing the latest Adidas trainers (or Jimmy Choo's if it's a bitch) and they don't like getting crap on them so just in case they wipe their shoes after their toilet break, not that they actually wear them they think they do... vain things dogs you see... mental as well.

About the girl, I don't know her that well and I've not really spoken to her before but I know we share common interests, I just don't know how to approach her without looking like a creep/stalker. I really don't know how anyone could do it, I have trouble speaking with my friends let alone to a person I've not really spoken to before and in trying to win them over.

Well you can try your best and force yourself into it, or just lightly practice, these things come with time. I never used to be able to meet new people well around that 12-14 age but I learned very fast when new people meant new girls haha, just practice talking to new people bit by bit, then you can hold a conversation with anyone, about anything at anytime.

Thanks, I guess I'll just have to try my best and be better at making conversation around friends... Either that or get pissed and I'll then have the ability to do all this instantly. Maybe not the latter though.

I had that mod, it was f*cking awesome, you were able to start races, open your car hoods and doors in the showroom and you were able to tune your cars with ANY part. (Except paint, but some cars had it)

If he wants a better tuning experience with SA, then this mod is for him.

I was going to ask a question about batteries yesterday, but I realized that wasn't the problem here. I've got this pretty new (3 years at most) TI-84 calculator that's been acting screwy. About half a month ago it wouldn't turn on for whatever reason, so yesterday I took out the back-up battery and AAA batteries and measured the voltage and they were full, and then I put everything back in and it turned on. I turned it off again, tried to turn it back on and it won't turn on again, so I did the same thing again and it worked again (this time for all of yesterday).

 

An hour ago I tried to turn it on and had to hold the on button down to get the display to turn on but it turned off when I stopped holding the button. Just now I got it to work, but it said it had low batteries. Turned it off again and it's doing the same thing with the display as it did an hour ago.

 

Does anyone have any idea of what's going on with it?

After you were unanimously voted off the staff last year you were warned and temp banned numerous times for various offenses. Rather than permanently ban you right there and then, I took the decision to speak with meta187 to see if we could come to a more amicable agreement.

 

At this time you were warned you would be permanently banned if the constant rule breaking continued, and for a short while you changed. However, since August you've slipped back into the member which got you demoted and continuously temp banned - rather than rinse and repeat, lets put an end to this.

Hundreds of members get banned every year, all for the same reason; they broke the rules.

Is it influenza or just a common cold? An actual flu is much more severe than a cold and it can be treated with antivirals. You can't cure a cold but you can cure some of its symptoms. The more unpleasant part of a cold will last for a couple of days. You don't need to take any drugs for a cold as it heals on its own.

 

The flu can take one or two weeks to heal and you do need to take some drugs in which case you need to go to the doctor.
