Lots of brands of bottled water say there are "minerals" in the water. I personally think that's kind of BS as there are minerals in normal tap water as well. I could never stand buying a bottle of bottled water anyway, knowing it costs like a thousand times as much as tap water.

Are those images that have since been taken down so that they couldn't be loaded or what? As you can see it happens mainly on older posts but can occur on newer ones too.

Sadly they never do these days, just have to grin and bear it. A couple of years back it took me about a year before I finally got a job, the only advice is make sure your CV is up to date, and make you cover letter vaguely specific with the job you are applying... that's if they bother reading them, and apparently employers don't like seeing gaps in employment so fill them up with something (aka a lie), but then again what the hell to employers want these days

Employers want responsible workers.

Gaps may mean the person is a 'user' who works just long enough to get a 'unemployment insurance' ride.

Gaps may mean the person is a criminal (jail time).

Gaps may mean the person is generally unreliable.

 

Some employers won't hire a person unless they are currently employed.

Since very few Employers will give references or speak about why they discharged a former employee (due to lawsuits) the prospective Employer uses what he has.

You can always justify a gap, even if it isn't with more work. Education, training- even volunteering. well since being fired late last year I've been searching for jobs every day and still nothing, kinda hard to justify that when most employers would class that as doing nothing I assume.

As you see, there is a place on the speaker where a blue light comes out when it's on. (Plugged into the PC). Now, I searched it and there is no way of turning that light off on the speaker itself. The only way to turn the light off is to pull the wires from the PC and disconnect the speakers. Is that possible? I mean, it's kinda silly to disconnect the speakers from the PC every time I go to sleep.. So, do any of you have some advice how to turn it off differently (if it's possible) and is it possible if I just turn off the PC, go to sleep and leave the speakers plugged into the PC, for the speakers to over-heat or something? Cause I really have no idea how to turn them off. there is no switch, I tried to turn the volume knob all the way around and waited for some click or something, but nothing happened. I tried to press that knob, but it doesn't work that way either.

Does anyone know of a free programme that I could use to create drum beats? Also, importing songs would be pretty useful. If it can do other stuff then that's great but I want it primarily for the drums. Many thanks in advance for any help.

When I used to make mashups, I used Jescola Buzz. Runs on .NET framework, exports to MIDI and various other usable file types, and basically works like a combination of a drum machine and synth.

So, we just moved to another house, and after one week of taking their time, comcast finally came in and set our modem/phone line etc. up. They recommended a ZyXEL wireless router, so we got it. The problem is, it constantly stops working, as in I have to keep restarting it all the time. I know the problem isn't from the internet, or the modem, because I used ethernet from the modem to a laptop to connect, and everything was working fine.

 

It's a ZyXEL Wireless N-Lite Home Router, by the way.

 

I read up about bluetooth interfering with the WiFi connection on Mac OS, so I prioritized the WiFi over the Bluetooth in Network preferences, but I still have to constantly restart the router.

 

Here's a case on another forum similar to my problem:

 

 

Lion doesn't remember my preferred networks. Whenever I have to reconnect to WiFi, for whatever reason, it gives me the same dialog, "none of your preferred networks are available." Then I have to pick the network from the list, even if it's the only one there, and even if it's the same network I've been using practically every time I use my computer.

 

I never have a working WiFi connection when I open my laptop. Doesn't matter if it's only been closed for 5 minutes for a walk from one room to another, my WiFi connection never survives. It may be just my imagination, but it seems like several weeks ago this only happened some of the time. Now it is virtually guaranteed.

 

Occasionally, WiFi just drops, out of the blue, while I'm browsing. I click a link and it starts to load but never finishes. The connection appears to be strong, but it just doesn't work.

 

Usually I reconnect to the network by clicking "Turn Wi-Fi Off" in the menubar. But when this doesn't work, my backup method is to go to Network Preferences and manually reset the IP address. However, sometimes everything in this pane is mysteriously greyed out. I can't reset the IP, turning off WiFi does nothing, and my only option is to log out and/or reboot. Doesn't apply to me, I just have to restart the router

Check your extensions/addons for your browser. Delete unnecessary ones.

If that doesn't do it, re-install it.
