Does anyone remember super mario bros on the NES, released in 1985? what am I saying of course you do, if not then you are not a true gamer, not in my eyes. Anyway my guestion... where can I play this game? my NES is long dead. Is there a place in which you can buy this game like on some kind of nintendo store (like their equivilant to the PS store or Xbox Live store) if they have such an equivilant?

 

and if not then where can I find this classic?

 

PS - I know about a website where it is on but that is using pc buttons, I would prefer the old controller aw navigating it with the keyboard is really awkward. so something that would enable me to plug in a NES controller into my laptop and work it would do

you could have a look on Ebay, a quick scan shows a couple on a GBA cartridge, maybe even one on NES I'm looking at, the console itself wont be too much. have a look here

@Nate: if you are using an Emulator, then you can use a converter, you can get SNES-USB converters (although hard to find) or more readily, use a Playstation2 to USB converter and then just map the relevant keys. I don't think I've seen a NES-USB, but I'd be more tempted to use a PS controller as it's easier to handle.

It depends if the programmers have added that feature to the game, it's not the kind of thing that can be added on in an ad-hoc manner, as it's usually programmed to 'rumble' at certain times within the game.

Telling what the anchor tags are is a long description, so here's a quote from the Newbie Guide.

 

• The 'jumping' tags. The use to be the hardest ones to understand.

First you have to find a part of the post. How to do that? Well, so:

Please take me down.

Than, type this at the place you want to be taken to:

This will take you down the page.

The reasons why these are hard is because of the way you have to place them.

Let's say that you have a long post.

You type something, which, by clicking it, should take you at the bottom of the post.

The word you want to click on has to be between these codes: (jumpto=#down) & (/jumpto).

I used () & (/) instead of [] & [/].

Then, go down the page, and find the text you want to be taken to by clicking the text on the top. It has to appear between (anchor=down) & (/anchor).

 

Why are all these codes needed?

Well, first, you have to post the # only at the jump point.

Than, the word after the # must be the same as the one from anchor. (anchor=same word as the jump).

If you make any mistake in this, it's over.

 

It's damn hard, I know. But, once you got the hang of how it works, it'll be easy as hell.

Now, there are some other ways to jump. Well, if you need to jump to a post only, just to this way...

 

 

 

1. Go to the post you want to jump to.

2. Click on the 'Posted' link at the top of the post, surrounded in the picture above.

3. Copy-paste manually the link, surrounded in the picture above.

4. Press 'OK'.

5. Type that link in your post either using & tags, or just free.

 

That's it!

 

And here you should be taken! This works for different posts too, but only if the posts are on the same topic page.

If you take a look carefully, the text you are taken to, appears at the bottom of the window and is underlined when you put the mouse over it. And no, you can't click!

and that was constant through his last few days so he was doing like 55-70 posts a day, every day for about 2 weeks (55-70 is an average for those 2 weeks)

 

I am well aware of the irony given my average of 13.something posts a day for my whole profile length but anyone who knows me knows that is due to SA guessing games, they rack up your post count a lot

What is "better" for you, tap water or bottled water? I've been drinking sh*t loads of tap water recently and switched to bottled because I can actually taste a difference and prefer bottled.

I drink tap water, it's the main thing I drink. Don't like fizzy drinks or tea or coffee, I don't mind stuff like orange or blackcurrant but I just prefer water. I can't really notice a difference between bottled or tap, but I never have had much of a refined palette anyways.

Bottled water isn't necessarily purer than tap water (link), but if you prefer the taste and don't mind the extra cost then you should stick with bottled water. Neither of them are unhealthy enough to do any damage, or healthy enough to give you magic fitness benefits. (If you're drinking Fiji Water though I'ma be mad.)
