Let's just imagine i won 18 million dollars in the lottery after tax, be serious about this if you can.

Say I put 6million of this into an interest account to give me a steady income, the rate is about 3% so that would give me something like $180-190 000 a year so i have a neat income to cover living expenses (let's just forget tax) so as not to wear through my riches at $300 000 a year.

Also i would buy a decent house...or two, that's another 2 million gone.

 

Now that leaves me with $10million to spare, what can i do with this money to relatively safely increase my fortune? I'll probably do my apprenticeship and keep working, or go study something so it can't be too time consuming unless it becomes my new job. Maybe get into the home renovations business buying selling properties? I really dunno.

Real estate would be pretty safe if you know what you're doing - wait for the market to bottom out (like the USA right now...pretty much) buy houses at a reduced cost and interest rate, rent them out until (or live in them for a period of time to reduce capital gains tax) and then sell them off when it's a sellers market.

 

You could look into low risk/steady growth mutual funds and things of that nature.

Well, I've just been made redundant. They told us that seven people were going and were scoring us on our workrate, skills set and attendance. Initially today, I had my meeting and was told that I was safe and all was well. Unfortunately, it turned out that the woman scoring me didn't understand their system and I had to go back up there and be told I was pretty much done.

I'm proud of how I handled it, I didn't shout or scream. I shook everyone by the hand, told them I enjoyed working with them and went on my merry way.

 

But now what? I've been there since 2008. Jesus, I was at that place for years and now I'm back in the cold and have to find some other line of work. On the one hand I relish the challenge and on the other I'm f*cking terrified.

 

Any tips?

understandable to be scared, my advice would be to jump in with both feet, ignore that voice in your head that is saying "are you crazy, this will blow up in your face" and the fear will disipate, in today's rather poor job market you shouldn't hesitate, and previous working experience of 4 years will hold you in good stead.

You are lucky this is also an opportunity to reinvent your working life, if after 4 years you feel like some kind of change now is your chance. Good luck out there

Afternoon, folks. I've just started playing RDR again and have forgotten a few things. I was wondering if the price of the things I can sell varies from shop to shop? If so, I want to make as much as I can from skins and meat so where would be the best place to sell them? If I remember correctly, a bear claw from up north will sell for more in the south and it's similar for other items, am I right in thinking that?

the price does vary from shop to shop, based on areas, like the province ore the town. Like if you have negative honour (honor) then the stuff you sell will go for a higher price in theive's landing, but lower in places like armadillo

and if you have high honor it will sell for higher in places like armadillo, but lower in theives landing

 

also i think certain items go for more in certain provinces. Like flowers picked around macfarlane's ranch will go for more in mexico and the 3rd province (west elizabeth or port elizabeth, the place with blackwater, can't remember the exact province name)

It depends on what skin and meat you are trying to sell. If the animal is say from mexico you are best going to new austin or west elizabeth to sell the skin and meat. So if you have skin and meat to sell i think the best place is outside the province to which the animal is indiginous (if I remember correctly)

If you worry about virginity too much you might end up not having sex for a long time, which is OK if you can handle it, but I think most (males) can't.

I actually wouldn't mind doing the same. And why? I don't know, I guess that's just the youth of nowadays. It's just 'it', having done it.

To answer your question, there is no answer, it's a subjective belief. And fishing for advice from different parts of the globe, with differing cultural norms and life experiences, probably might not help you if you're contemplating losing it. Conservative parts of the world will probably push the average point of the loss of one's virginity higher, whereas more liberal areas would tend to be lower. I'd say, being from the Netherlands, it'd be around 16/17. But remember, that's an average, and I can tell you with certainty that the range is f*cking massive; don't be surprised if, by the time you hit 19/20, a good quarter/third of your friends are still virgins.

Where did you get the game from? It's slow because of the frame limiter. I think you can turn that off by pressing F8 (or one of the function keys), but then the game will go really fast. That's why I can't play that game.

 

To my knowledge, there is no way to fix that framerate issue.

I downloaded the Dos and the original.

The Dos (Dos Box) worked but with no radio and a little lag but the windows was slow and with no radio, i did try the frame limiter but it didn't have effect.
