Have A Question? V2

I have a question, and it interests me quite a lot at this point in time.

Where can i take a proper IQ test? Preferably written so i do it properly, and i understand there are two kinds.

I have done a few and i get varying results, probably the best one (I feel) was one i took on an old Macintosh computer about 8 years ago, it was an application that was pre-installed, all the others have been a bit strange (and online) and have given some odd results, especially upon completing it more than once, the Macintosh one however was consistent, and provided a different test each time and the result was more or less the same.

Reason i ask is because (i am in no way trying to brag) is that i feel that often i can seem to understand concepts really well, particularly going through school often things just clicked and i could understand exactly why things happened when others couldn't grasp it,, or wrote learn (Know what happens, but not why) and i never had to try particularly hard to keep up with the rest.

Until more recently i considered myself of average intelligence, but just thinking on it more i am not so sure and i would like to gauge myself just to know what i may/may not be capable of.

They say you can do anything, well no, some people are smart, some are dumb, i wanna know where i sit on the scale, perhaps i am just getting full of myself, which is likely <----moment of honesty.

You can get one from psychologist or a psychology graduate student. Call the student services at your nearest university and see if you can sign up to have one .

The two tests that are most commonly administered are the Stanford-Binet Test

and the Weschler IQ test, The SB test uses a standard deviation of 16 whereas the Weschler test uses a standard deviation of 15. That means that the SB test will give

you a higher result assuming you are above average. Hope this helps. I dunno much about this but someone else will give you the best answer.

P.S, don't ever go for online IQ tests. They are all fake and just made for fun.

You were watching Big Brother weren't you?  smile.gif

Yes, i have been considering this for a while though, as you can see here i asked a question regarding it, big brother merely brought it to a fore and got me thinking on an IQ test. - http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtop...entry1061493245

shiva, i figured the online ones probably were bogus/not accurate, thanks, i'll get in contact with someone.

Is Sleeping Dogs a good game?

I just want to know, because I am getting this game another game next week. (Don't tell me anything about the story.)

I've heard super-good things about Sleeping Dogs, but IMO it doesn't look that good. It just looks like one of the 100's of games that use similar screenshots for the back cover, so it doesn't really appeal to me and I probably won't be getting it. I picked up Mafia 2 and L.A. Noire today. I know I'm late. blush.gif

I just want to know, because I am getting this game another game next week. (Don't tell me anything about the story.)

Sleeping Dogs garnered mostly positive

reviews. Aggregating review websites GameRankings and Metacritic gave the PC

version 86.14% and 84/100, the

PlayStation 3 version 82.81% and

82/100 and the Xbox 360 version

80.86% and 80/100.

Official PlayStation Magazine UK awarded it 9

out of 10. Editor Ben Wilson describes the game as "the best bits of a load of games

you love pooled together with intelligence and humour." Wilson concluded with "It's

unquestionably 2012's most brilliantly brutal

surprise, and you're duty-bound to check it

out". The second review was published by Official

Xbox Magazine UK, who also awarded it 9 out of 10, and stated "A gripping vision of

Hong Kong which sports majestic driving, a

sharp, well-acted storyline and varied missions," only reserving criticism for the

length of the main story which he

considered to be too short.

In IV, I've noticed that one of the bridges is in wreckage- I'm hoping you know what I'm talking about. Is that wrecked bridge a resemblance of the Callahan Bridge from III?

IGN Review

That was actually a good review for once, usually their reviews are hopeless.

Also if the rating is above 8/80 it's great, only the established franchises get above 9/90 because if they don't give rave reviews they get in trouble.

There was an incident with either San Andreas or IV where a reviewer from gamespot i think gave one of the games 6/10, they were black-listed from Rockstar games and couldn't do reviews for a while.

Another member asked the exact same question not long ago right Here.

Seems like a great game from what i have seen, watch a couple trailers/gameplay videos if you're not satisfied, better than looking at box-art.

Im not sure which bridge you mean but it most likely is. There's a few references in IV to III, such as the old mansion in northern Alderney referencing the Salvatore's Gentlemans Club and the downfall of the Leone's, probably meaning that they will never return.

I believe that the real life counterpart for that bridge is supposed to be the Wittpenn Bridge which runs between Jersey City and Kearney, only unlike in GTA IV it is still used.

However I too think that that bridge, along with many other places in L.C (the half sunken ship in A.I.P, the Westdyke Mansion, and the Alderney Casino), though most having real life counterparts, are all meant to be little references to the L.C of III.

EDIT:

I'm presuming it's this bridge (had to provide a video as I could find no images of said bridge).

I can only think of that unfinished bridge in Bohan which would resemble anything close to being "wrecked". Although apart from that one small thing the actual design of it is nothing like the Callahan bridge. Could you elaborate a bit on which bridge you're talking about? And Alex that Wittpenn bridge resembles more the Shoreside/Staunton lift bridge rather than the Callahan bridge.

Edit: Oh wait there's that other one in the Acter Industrial estate as well which is in disrepair, I can't really remember what it looks like that much though off the top of my head.

I've been left to my own devices for about a week and I know little of cooking. I'm on day 4 now and I'm running out of microwavable items.

Some ingredients I've found while exploring the house include a large can of cream of mushroom soup, potatoes, and two large polish sausages. My plan was to cut up and fry the potatoes and the sausages, and then put them in the cream of mushroom soup to make something a bit more palatable.

Do you guys think this mixture will taste good?

Also, is there a website where I can list every ingredient I have in the house and then it will give me a list of recipes possible with the ingredients I listed?

I wouldn't put the potatoes into the soup as they'll only break up and you'll end up with lumps all over the place. Also, potatoes are the main thickening ingredient of most soups so they'll probably thicken an already thick soup.

Depending on how big the potatoes are, you could make a baked potato and fry the sausage as you had planned. Once the sausage is done, place it inside the potato and cover it in the soup. Only a small amount of the soup though, just enough to moisten the meal. You could always save a few pieces of the sausage and put them into the remainder of the soup so you can eat it later if you get hungry.

Edit: If the potatoes are too small, you could essentially do the same thing but instead of having baked potato, simply boil your potatoes and, after they've cooled for about a minute or two, give them a quick mashing with a knob of butter if you have it. Nothing too thorough, just enough to give them some texture.

1. Pick up the phone

2. Order a pizza

3. Throw those "ingredients" in the bin, well I guess you would call it the trash.

Or listen to Gig, if I'm right the guy used to be a chef so he knows his sh*t. If you're rich maybe you could pay him to fly over and cook you stuff, I hear he does "extras" too, but he's not Asian so there's no guarantee of a happy ending.

there's no guarantee of a happy ending.

Well...that just depends on the price.

I was, indeed, a chef but I trained more in the area of fresher and finer ingredients than tins of soup and Polish sausages tounge.gif

Which email service is actually the best?

For the second f*cking time, "it looks like someone else might be using my Hotmail account". I've already lost one account and now they blocked another one. I never read spam emails, I just delete them. Is Gmail better than Hotmail?

Gmail seems more lightweight and responsive to me compared to Hotmail. I use both but I prefer Gmail.

Not to mention intrusive spam emails are not really a problem on Gmail. I perhaps get one spam email per month that actually makes it through into the main inbox; all the rest (~5000 per month) are automatically put into the spam folder without question. Hotmail was terrible in this regard when I last used it.

Also, the Hotmail interface is so clunky and horrible.

Probably one of Jimmy's crew.

@ Eagles: I much prefer Gmail to any other email service I've used. As OverTheBelow said, the spam filter is excellent. I rarely ever get any. It syncs brilliantly with my phone, too, so that's a bonus.

Why Opera is so American? It marks "theatre", "colour", "centre" as words containing mistakes. "Right" forms for Opera are "color". "center", "theater" etc. I set British English as browser language and primary lang. Didn't help.
