Is there any other animal that can cry?

Not sure if you were joking but animals do cry. Dogs whimper when they miss their master or if they are tied to something.

Cats cry when they loose their young ones. I've heard, dolphins cry sometime but the reason is unknown. Note that, they don't shed tears like humans.

Sorry but that is such absolute, total and utter bollocks. Modifying a game and then making said modification publicly available 1) usually doesn't require much, if anything, in the way of "reverse engineering" and 2) is in absolutely no way illegal unless you try to distribute someone else's intellectual property without their permission and for personal gain.

Yes they generally do, but usually under the pretext of either distributing the IP provided in the original software, or in attempting to profit from a modified or edited version of the software. So a free modification which does not contain what could be determined as IP from the original piece of software is not in any way illegal under most circumstances. Of course, some developers and publishers do outlaw modifying games in their EULA, whereas others actively encourage it. Bethesda with the GECK, Valve with the Source SDK...

 

In a few instances, modifying a game may actually be outlawed by the EULA, but its totally absurd to say that it is "officially" so. Even if those developers that do try and dissuade users from modifying the games (and they are few and far between) did sue someone for breaking the EULA, what could they do? It's not like they could sue for damages as if anything modding increases sales of games rather than decreasing them. It's never been legally tested to the best of my knowledge, and until it is it cannot be said to be illegal.

Is it against the rules to put a watermark on a request you do in the GFX section and ask the user if they would like to use it they need to pay a fee for it to be removed?

 

I've seen this a lot lately and I feel as if it isn't right - the graphics section if there to help people in need, not to make money off of a mediocre graphic.

The EULA? Usually it's in your best interest to actually read what you can legally do with the game, that way in case they ever sue you for some reason you know why they did. Supposedly there was a guy who won a large amount of money by notifying the creator of one program that he found the bit in his EULA that said "If anyone reads this, notify the developer for $largeamountofmoney." There's also a program out there somewhere that scans it, and brings up anything out of the ordinary, it's called EULAnizer, or something like that.

We were taught in school about Double Negatives(grammar) where sentences like "I don't know nothing" is wrong and shall be " I don't know anything". But GTA games and some other American movies seems to do this.

 

What's really right and wrong?

 

EDIT: My native tongue ain't English so I need some clarification for these kind of information specially about grammar. I'm planning to join the school paper and the main language to be used is English.

Dialogue in films and games don't usually use proper grammar and such, to give a more realistic feel since not everyone speaks with proper grammar all the time..

And, as far as drugs is concered, you people, should start considering euthanasia for us old people before we spend your tax money on worthless medical care? The old saying was "Don't Trust Anyone over 30." It still apllies today.

To be fair weasel, it's not like merely searching for "Slamman" would have given him his answer. I mean he would have probably just come back even more confused and with even more questions, and mentally scarred to boot.
