You can feel any kind of pain after a night of heavy drinking, but you don't want to worry about any of it unless it lasts well beyond your hangover. Try eating some bacon.

Well, the thing about me is i don't feel most of the hangover symptoms, just a few I'm actually not too worried about it yet. Been about twenty hours since the drinking ended and this pain only started a few hours after that. It may also have to do with my stomach fluids, don't really know. Thanks for the tip.

Make sure you eat something before you drink a lot. Carbs preferably like a pizza.

Body aches are common with hangovers, at least they were common in my case. I used to get muscle pains but mostly on the upper muscles and legs I think.

Here's a list of possible remedies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hangover#Pote...ficial_remedies

The worst part of a hangover for me is the body aches. Like blitz, my legs get the brunt of the fury. I already have a f*cked up knee so it just exacerbates the problem. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it.

Anyway, here's my question. First, a little background. One of my long-time friends suffers from CFS/ME and this basically means that life in general is pretty uncomfortable. About a week ago she mentioned that she'd like to get a proper chair to sit in so that it'll at least make things a bit easier for her (at the moment she's using a sun lounger). Unfortunately, she doesn't get any help from anyone in terms of day-to-day life nor financially.

Right, I'll just cut to the chase. I'd like to try and get her this chair. I'm not a man of money so this is a bit difficult so what I'd like to do is try and raise the money to get it. What would be the best way to go about doing this? I know it sounds a bit silly saying "I'm going to buy her a chair!" but it can make a massive difference to her. It's not a huge amount, by any means, which in essence makes it worth more, if you catch my drift? It's a small gesture but it means a lot to her.

Thanks to anyone who can offer any sort of advice.

I would say most side-effects of a hangover are caused by dehydration (Obviously excluding feeling scattered and rendered useless for gaming), i always always (Myself and almost all of my friends) will take a powerade/gatorade with us or leave it somewhere where we will find it at the end of the night and drink it before bed, then you shouldn't have headaches or muscle aches, or the blow dealt by alcohol and it's dehydrating nature will be dampened.

What do you normally eat for breakfast?

Cornflakes with Milo, Weetbix, Nutri-Grain, Rice Bubbles with milo...so cereal.

Sometimes i will go for toast...or somedays i feel naughty and i will head to KFC hahaha!

But honestly what's worse about having KFC for breakfast as opposed to lunch?

Does Nickel rust?

If i remember correctly only ferrous metals rust (Metals containing Iron) because rust is Iron Oxide, so none of the elements will rust, only compounds.

Other metals oxidise and corrode and such, but they do not "rust"

Maybe this topic can help you with your interest in metalergy:

http://www.lenntech.com/periodic/elements/ni.htm

Did you even read the article? It does not mention rust in there once, all it does say is that Nickel is resistant to corrosion which doesn't really answer the question at all if the terms are not understood.

Dehydration is a massive part of the problem. Being somewhat typically British I often make myself and cup of tea and have it next to my bed. Unfortunately, I tend to pass out before I drink it. Still, it's quite nice to wake up to in the morning even if it is a little cold. I was thinking of investing in one of those USB heated coasters thus keeping it nice and hot. I always take two Co-codamol before I sleep, too. They're supposed to be for my knee but they really help battle the headaches. I'm not a fan of those energy drinks so I tend to avoid them.

Not energy drinks, sports drinks...they are basically flavoured water with some salt, which tastes nicer than salt water for hydration.

When you say chair gig, do you mean like a wheelchair? Or are you just talking about some specialised chair which she can just sit on in her living room which is more suited to her. And how much will it cost roughly?

This is the part in which it sounds like I'm a conman tounge.gif It's neither...well, maybe more of the latter. Put simply, she needs a recliner so she can ease the pressure off her lower back (hence she is now on a sun lounger). It's not a huge amount. I've managed to find something suitable for around £100. I've thought about maybe asking some of her other friends if they'd like to chip in but seeing as I'm a stranger to them they might not like the idea all that much. I'll still give it a go.

In all honesty, I just want to help the lass out. She's had a tough time over the last year or so. If it means I have to save for a little while to pay for it fully then I'll do it, I'd just rather get it sooner rather than later for her sake.

So you're going to buy her this chair in order to take all her personal belongings and fleece her for all she's got. Ice cold! wink.gif

well I suppose you could get a bucket and put some design on it or something that's relevant to the cause, and then go to your local city center and ask for some donations. Or maybe do something like a sponsored run, or a walk if you're not particularly athletically inclined. Some sort of sponsored thing is usually quite popular and you could just ask for a couple of quid from each person.

Well good luck anyways mate. Maybe if you help her out, she'll help you out. Nahmsayn.

Yes because helping out a female friend always leads to her thanking you with sexual favours...

@Gig, I would ask her friends anyway, shouldn't really matter if you don't know them - they would probably agree to help just because they know how much she has to go through in daily tasks and what not. Also, have you gone down the road of trying to ring up local councils and charities or something to get funding for her?

I have, indeed. Unfortunately, because of the fact that CFS/ME isn't supported as a "serious" illness, she can't get help. It's damn shame. This is why I've decided to do something myself. I'm hoping that, as you said, her friends understand her situation and that it will help her massively. I'm going to get in touch with them later on tonight.

Cheers, Stu. I'm not an athletically inclined chap due to having a rather buggered knee so a run wouldn't really work. I could do a crawl. That could be seriously entertaining, too. As for the "helping out", I can proudly say that I have been there, done that, and she wore my t-shirt tounge.gif (Seriously though, that was the best day of my life).

Exactly. Plus if he gets her a built in massage feature, if she spends a couple of minutes in that bad boy she'll be wetter than an otter's pocket.

Blitz, I'm not too sure about blue based font colours because it's a little too close to the default skin colour. I'd say the middle one looks the best out of the ones you showed though, just my opinion.

WRT Text colour, let's be honest, if you're not using the Connection skin you're doing GTAF wrong.

Can't go wrong with blue, I used it for years, I just wish we had the auto-option back on the forums, damned hamster not running fast enough.

That skin looks badass, but I prefer the GTA3.com one because I like blue and it fits with the system theme.

In my opinion all of the skins besides the default one, the default IBP skin and the LCS skin, are just too old-looking and looks awful with the square edges and the fonts... they all look terrible.

if it's possible the admins or whoever is in charge should make a new skin that looks more modern and up to date, like the new GTAV.NET style.. that looks nice.

EDIT: just looked through some of the skins... GTAVC and Hashcake look nice aswell.

Basically any skin with dark colours and/or square edges looks horrible...

Like the Conventional skins.

But the LCS one is excused, because it looks nice.

Switched to TC skin, much smoother. Thanks Rob.

I think I'm going with the last one, looks best with all skins.

Los Santos Pedestrian

On Steam, I installed Source Filmmaker because I wanted to make movies with it. Unfortunately, I didn't know how the hell to use it, and I uninstalled it to make room on my puny 138 GB hard drive. Though I don't really want to install it again right now, once I uninstalled it, it disappeared from my Steam library. Is there any way to get it back?

Sorry, I know LSP asked a question but I've got a quick one.

Why is it some it the mods/admins log in but make it so they appear offline?

So they don't get PM's I guess. You can do it too.

Yeah, I do it regularly, but I was just wondering why majority of the mods do, eg. Ryan, weasel.

Have you tried going through the purchase process again? Whenever I uninstall a game, I can always download it again for free. I'd assume it would be the same. I'm not really sure why it would remove it from the library though. All of my uninstalled games are there but they're just faded.
