Can anybody give me a few documentaries that are to do with the various races of the Human race and how they evolved. So Maybe one on why, East Asians tend to have smaller shaped eyes than Europeans, or why Europeans in general tend to be lighter than Africans and what not. It's all very understandable when people say that's how we evolved because of environment. However I'm looking for a documentary that shows how these kinds of things happened. Also maybe theories whether to if it's a genetic thing or an environmental thing.

Bit of an odd question - I used to have the free months trial of Netflix while I was in the US last year, and really enjoyed the selection. I'm thinking about either going back to Netflix UK (6.99 per month) or LoveFilm (also uk) I'm not sure about the pricing on LoveFilm - I'm just taking a look at the selection and from what I can tell, you still have to pay £2-3 for a film even if you get yourself the Instant watch? I've also noticed that LoveFilm tend to have a lot of the older films rather than newish ones?

 

So basically, what do you guys know about either company and the instant online watch - is it worth the extra money for Netflix or does LoveFilm have the same type of selection?

 

I've also had issues with LoveFilm in the past - they said I got a months free trial but then deducted the £4 right from my bank account the same day. So basically it pissed me off, rang them up and complained and had to file a claim to my bank to get £4 back.

It's because of the amount of members online. It's nothing serious, just some moments when the server hits weakness. It usually goes away by refreshing.

@ Rebel: I'd stay away from LoveFilm, man. I had nothing but trouble with them. From over-charging me some months to sending me films I hadn't even added to my list. I eventually left mainly because my hearing became worse meaning I had to have subtitles and a lot of the listings on LoveFilm either didn't tell me if the film had subtitles or not, would say it did but when I got the DVD, it didn't, or they just didn't have any whatsoever. Now that I download my films in a "totally legit" manner, I get them whenever I want, within roughly ten minutes and with the subtitles I need. Perfect!

 

As for Netflix, I have no experience with them so I can't say. Nevertheless, you're probably going to get two sides to the story from people on here. People like myself saying these companies are terrible and the other half saying they're the best thing since sliced beetroot.

 

May I ask why you don't download films?

I've gone with Netflix since I've never had problems - sure they've put up prices in the US and its about £6 a month if I decide to go over my free month but I feel like they have a better selection.

Well with LoveFilm they said you get a free month before you get charged - however when I did it about 3 years ago they charged me right away. Not sure about how they do it now. As for Netflix - yup its an entire free month. You still have to put your card details in or use Paypal - but as long as you cancel before that entire month is up then they don't charge you.

I was thinking between getting a Taurus model 66, a Ruger GP-100, or a Smith and Wesson model 686. This is to be a hunting sidearm (in addition to home defense and target practice gun). My dilemma is to spend my rather limited cash wisely, getting the best ratio of quality/dollar. Other suggestions would be fine, but it needs to be a .357 with a (preferably) 6 inch barrel to satisfy my hunting sidearm needs. Your thoughts?

With Netflix, you get the first month for free and you can cancel the membership just before the month is up

The best place for you to be asking this type of question would probably be in the Firearms Topic. That way you'll get an answer from people who have an interest in firearms, rather than someone just telling you to buy one rather than the other.

I have always seen the infomercials and wondered does Pro-Activ actually work?

Cheers for pointing out the photography topic, wasn't aware of that one. Might hang around there more and try and get some tips.

 

I loved that picture. It seemed like some sort of metaphor. The fifth picture, the one of the SS soldiers hat, was the one that struck me the most. Some really nice pictures in that gallery.

If by 'everyday' you mean Universal, here you go.

 

Cons:

• If you don't do your research, you may find that your remote doesn't really control everything on your TV

• When the batteries in the remote die, you have to reprogram the controller for every device you are controlling.

 

Pros:

• With the correct codes, you can control almost every device with one control.
