When doing pullups, why is my left hand more tired than the right? I'm lefthanded if it means anything.

If I had to take a guess, it's that your body isn't balancing muscle use, even if you try as hard as you can to be level, there's always going to be one side that uses more than the other. It could be that because you're left handed, your body is doing most of the work/leading with your left hand and therefore leaving it more tired. It could be a myriad of reasons really.

So, this also relates to last page's "college life" question...

I got offers from two really good universities, one of them in the East Coast, the other in the West (both in Canada). I don't know which one I'll go to, the one in the West coast (Vancouver) has a really nice landscape. It's a hell of a city, but the one in the East Coast (Toronto) is better in academics... should I give priority to Academics or a better living environment. I guess it's a tough decision because they're both really good schools.

The 'working' hand is mobile and flexible. While the Idle hand (arm) is used to holding things steady. The muscles are more steely in the idle arm.

I don't think he said that he was a blacksmith.

Nice stu.

The reason being is because one of your arms is clearly stronger/has more endurance than the other, i am right handed but my left hand/arm is stronger because i broke my arm when i was younger and the other arm never caught up, no matter how much weight training i do, it's weird.

Question of my own, i have been getting itchy in my bed at around 2.am every night and wake up and have to migrate to the couch (Which is a good leather couch for when you are sitting, but for sleeping on it sucks), either i am allergic to the mites and sh*t in the bed, or i am actually allergic to the fibres in the bed, i wash all my sheets and pillows regularly, would plastic pillow blanket and bed covers fix the problem?

Ramblings This has been going on for about a month and i have been tired the whole time, which i don't mind, because time seems to pass by and i don't really give a sh*t about anything, the side effect of this being that i have been a heartless jerk for the most part, which is fine by me, but it tends to upset people around me so this has to stop and i need some proper sleep to be productive in general.

If anything it probably means you're implicitly putting more load on your left hand side. It's like when you're doing any sort of isolation exercise and as you tire your body naturally tries to compensate by engaging other muscles to help.

Weasel was onto something there, though. The hand you write with especially requires more nuanced and delicate hand movements to hold a pen.

There are special plastic sheets that prevent the dust mites and bed bugs from nipping when you are in bed. Install the plastic protector and then your regular sheet over it. Wouldn't hurt anything (except your wallet) to try one.

Why does everyone hate Zee? I see nothing wrong with him.

He often made derailing posts and seemed to enjoy it. I haven't seen much of him lately though. I actually thought he'd been banned and had to check.

Because the only thing he does is bash Rockstar Games for any reason he can make up. Sometimes he says the truth, but mostly it's just him saying bullsh*t. For god sake he went to LA and uploaded a video to YouTube saying how much he hated R*.

He has problems.

Agree with others. He was acting like a kid but he can be issued a warning rather than a ban. Maybe, he'll change.

Maybe, he'll change.

Doubt that. People like him are more likely to accept a ban than change. Recently, someone reported him for a topic he made in 2002 and I was surprised to find that he wasn't much different even back then. One would assume that he might have been an immature kid back then but it's been 10 years since and he still has the same level of maturity. You'll find tons of people like him across the interwebz.

Is there anyway to save a topic that your in the middle of creating without posting it and constantly editing it?

No. The only way is to copy paste everything in a Notepad, and when you want to continue just copy paste it back on the posting field. You can press "Preview Post" to see what it results, if you use BB Codes or something.

On multiplatform games the xbox version is 7gb for example and the ps3 version will be like 14gb, is the size difference just down to compression techniques because the xbox has got limited disc space so its more compressed for xbox? And the ps3 has loads of space so compressing the files is less important?

Some games that i play in chess allow you to move the pawn 2 squares but only for your first turn, other games allow you to move 2 squares throughout the whole game.

So i was wandering what is the right way to move pawns? or does it just depend?

Mister Pink

I always understood it was only for first move on any pawn? Or was just first move of first pawn? I anwered your question with a question, sorry, lol biggrin.gif

Pawns are unusual in how they move. Unlike the other pieces, pawns may not move backwards. Normally a pawn moves by advancing a single square, but the first time a pawn is moved, it has the option of advancing two squares.

Just to clarify, it is an option. You can move the pawn only one square even on its first move. Then, of course, that pawn cannot be advanced two squares later as the first move has been made.

Another nuance here is that the move is done in two steps. It's as if you moved one square, and then another square. That means that if the square you pass through is under attack by another pawn, your opponent can take your pawn en passant. This only applies to a pawn being taken by a pawn, however.

It all sounds a little arbitrary, but you need to keep in mind why these rules exist. They are meant to speed up the opening of the game. That is, make sure that you don't waste several turns just advancing pawns to middle of the board. By the time opponent's pawns are on your half of the board, you're not really playing the opening anymore, and en passant rules kick in.

Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
