Benjimino234
You can also invest in that skill that makes the turret shoot slag rounds, it is at the bottom though I think so it is a commitment. It's the closest thing to having a co-op experience and increases your damage output. This is nearly a mandate however in True Vault Hunter Mode the enemies are so tough you need the extra help and I have to opt out for either Scorn or Ruin (which slag the enemies in some way) as opposed to the more fun Thoughtlock which just turns them against their friends. Icarus
So I had a good day playing Borderlands. Got my commando to level 50 Got a ton of legendary weapons thanks to Daz, Booze T, and Sweaty Palms (including the conference call shotgun and The Bee shield) Beat Terramorphous Beat Crawmerax on the first Borderlands (all credit goes to Benjimino, of course) Now to wait for some DLC. Artful.
I should be getting Borderlands 2 today. Any tips for a newbie to the game?
Benjimino234
I recommend the Siren class (but I'm a siren fanboy) the Phaselock ability is wonders as (most) bosses and Badass/annoying armoured enemies can be killed or at least receive massive damage with relative ease. So soloing with her isn't that hard. Although all the classes are pretty well balanced and there are multiple playstyles within the one class depending on which skills tree branch you choose. I will say the Gunzerker class is a high risk, high reward class - so I'd say it's the more difficult class. I have a level 15 Gunzerker along with a 23 Mechromancer and 43 Siren, I know the Commando and Assassin play very easily too. Besides class choice just do all the side missions before the one marked 'Story Mission' - you might be the recommended minimum level but its bordering on the tough side; plus you usually get awesome gear from side missions to help you. Daz
Was just mooching around the Frostburn Canyon area to mop up the last challenge I need for the achievement. Found this in a chest and sh*t myself. Its so harsh because its level 8, I wish I had it to my level. Infinite f*cking ammo. So harsh.
Moth
Now to wait for some DLC. Good thing some DLC is coming out this Tuesday, eh? Speaking of which, I have bought the season pass for the game. Formerly known as The General

Speaking of which, I have bought the season pass for the game. Great timing, for sure. I need to pick up the season pass; I have a gift card to Future Shop, so I might use it to go pick up some Microsoft points.
Benjimino234
Nice find Daz! At least you can use it for future characters. I'm currently just blitzing through TVM and skipping all the side missions and you sure do get a lot if you ignore them - also the story missions are quite tough because it's just at your level. But it'll pay off when I get all the reward gear up to level 50.

Artful.
So far I have only played on single player and I am loving it. How does the multiplayer work is it like a hop in hop out sort of thing with your single player character?
OysterBarron
Yeah pretty much. You can join friends games that are higher or lower levels than you. But if you just join a normal game it will match you up with someone on the same mission as you.

OysterBarron
Well im not so sure I had 2 good 3 hour games with randomers the other day. I even picked up 2 purple weapons and he didnt have a problem. The only thing I see was that they don't pick you up again all the time. But then again ev3n your mates miss ya sometimes. mrpain
Beat the story, god that was so satisfying. Although the end boss was easier than the previous game end boss, still awesome finale that was. I let Lilith kill Handsome Jack, simply because he's an awesome villain and I can't put a bullet in him. So I guess we would be leaving Pandora for the next Borderlands eh? Still got several side-quests to be done. Thought I could go solo on Terramorphus with just a rocket launcher. Didn't even make a dent in the health bar. Benjimino234
I've officially gone all out Borderlands 2 everybody, made the sig myself (it's tough to work in a 500 x 150 plus the psycho looks too harsh at that size) then got Graven to create this GIF. @mrpain: I suggest you farm The Warrior for a bit before you start TVM to get the most top notch guns while you can. Or at least get the extra cash that you'll need to spend on new guns, your blue/purple guns will all eventually be obsolete by level 40 greens. Jeez, that's really awesome. I think I spent like a very good ten minutes searching through the pile of loot that mofo drops. Found a kickass Jakobs sniper rifle among most of the crap guns. Speaking of Jakobs, what's everyone's favorite weapon manufacturer? Mine has gotta be the steampunk sheer-powered Jakobs. Absolutely addicted to Jakobs with it's powerful sniper rifles and slick revolvers. My brother's is Torgue because he has some kind of explosive fetish. Benjimino234
Yeah I was supreised too when I heard you can farm him, it was already too late for me though because I was much higher level but it's really handy. My favourite manufacturer is probably Maliwan and a tied 2nd Tediore and Hyperion.

mrpain
Wish they actually played Ain't No Rest For The Wicked by Cage The Elephant for the credits instead of another The Heavy song which has been quite overused in entertainment. When Lilith said "No rest for the wicked.", was so hoping that song would play. That song is so iconic with the first Borderlands intro! "STAIRS? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" has gotta be my favorite line in the game. Gearbox has done a nice job with the soundtrack too. Pretty impressed to be honest. Sirens, sup. Benjimino234
Had a very unsatisfying BNK-3R and Control Core Angel mission. Things are tough if you're not one or two levels above - nearly get killed by these loot loaders because their 3 levels above (skull worthy) also the usual "killed everything on site, oh wait you're on fire - dead." type of deal keeps happening. I only got 1 blue gun and 1 purple bandit machine gun (which I'm not too fond of since they're pretty inaccurate) counting all the chests in that mission too I got jibbed. So many grenade mod and shields chests, urgh. Can't wait to finish the rest of the story missions then I can finally play around with quest items levelled to 50 too. Also, (this thought I had about DLC and the story) Before the release I thought they would actually bring back the original vault hunters as playable characters. Then I quickly thought it wouldn't happen, I knew beforehand somewhere a death of one or even all of the original cast was imminent, really thought it was going to when Mordecai and Brick went down and it would just be Lilith remaining. As I played I thought all were going to die, kinda like a Halo: Reach sort of deal, one by one then finally a boss battle against Lilith while she is under Jack's power. Who else thought was going to happen story wise?
Moth
, what's everyone's favorite weapon manufacturer? Jakob's, Dahl and Torgue, I've also been known to use Tediore guns as well. Hyperion sucks, due to the fact that you have to waste ammo to get better accuracy. Also, does anyone know what time the dlc will be out? Will it be out at midnight or sometime tomorrow? Icarus
@mrpain: It's almost impossible to solo Terramorphous unless you have The Bee shield and conference call shotgun. If you don't have those, your best bet is to have a four player party of level 50s (or close to level 50) go after him. It won't be the easiest battle, but it can be done. Seddo
Bloodwing All the good times i had with thee. Who else thought was going to happen story wise? I was pretty sure Roland was gonna die anyway. I mean, he has zero personality whatsoever compared to the other three. Wasn't sure about the fate of the other three. I wonder if the surviving original three would still be in the next game or would they have to be written off to make space for Axton, Salvador, Maya, Zero and possibly Gaige? Anyway some fans want a prequel DLC where you play as one of the original four. I don't mind that as long we start from level 50. @mrpain: It's almost impossible to solo Terramorphous unless you have The Bee shield and conference call shotgun. What is up with The Bee shield? I haven't gotten it yet but I see many people on the Gearbox forums complaining about it. Is it that OP? Will probably go after Terra after my exams are done which would be finished in November. Anyone wanna help me take down that mofo then? Bloodwing All the good times i had with thee. Definitely the sh*ttiest thing I've done in gaming. It was just so wrong. You know when Mordecai talks about Moxxi and winning the Underdome (not really a spoiler but just incase) is that reading my Borderlands 1 save game or is that little bit of background story the same for everyone? Humour is fantastic in the game. Nah it's the same for everyone but it's cool though how they talked about past events that happened in Borderlands 1. For example, Dr.Zed will talk about how he patched up Roland when the soldier took out Nine-Toes. And the humor is definitely fan-f*cking-tastic! This video has gotta be the moment in the game where I laughed my ass off the most. Spoilers obviously. Future DLCs need more Tiny Tina for more LOLs. this isn't my video but the same thing happened to me while in Sawtooth Cauldron. pretty hilarious. basically the laws of gravity no longer apply to raging Goliath's. they can literally go anywhere to attack you. Holy balls, that's awesome. Pet Goliaths are a great thing to do when you're just dicking around but I didn't know they attack Buzzards too.
