Benjimino234
Wow the Mechromancer is crazy fun to play. It's very cool how the classes can be played in totally different ways most evidently the assassin, siren and mechromancer (commando and gunzerker don't offer too much in terms of play styles). Gaige's skill tree offers a 'newb' friendly set of skills as well as a totally different high risk, high reward game. Kotaku's writeup does a pretty good explanation. She is both an introductory class and hardcore class. Her Anarchy skill is crazy fun to play with, also crazy powerful with the ability to stack up to 400 times (400*1.75% = 700% gun damage with the disadvantage of -700% accuracy) that is insane. Even when you're capped out at the standard 150 you're outputting 2.625 times more damage. I could go verse enemies 5 levels above me (skull difficulty warning) and win, you just have to point blank. A major hurdle to pass is to not reload your gun and let it deplete and reload on its on, or you'll lose your Anarchy stacks, until you get Discord then you can stop acidental reloads. So whenever the firefight is over and I go to loot boxes and chests I always fully deplete my mag or switch to another gun so I can't accidentally hit 'X' prematurely when aiming on a box to open it but instead reloading and depleting my Anarchy stacks. Only twice so far I had to angrily watch a full 150 and 200 stacks tick down to zero when this occured - lesson learned. Even Gaige herself says ingame, "Don't accidentally reload, don't accidentally reload, Don't accidentally reload, argh!" mrpain
Killing Bloodwing was probably the sh*ttiest thing I've ever done in gaming. Huge WTF moment. Currently at the story mission where you join Brick's gang. Nice to see the old gang back together. I'm pretty addicted to my Jakob's Sniper Rifle at this point of being a level 24 Axton. Every single shootout I come across will always involve me off deploying my rocket firing turret and staying back to pop heads off. I think I'm gonna make sniper rifles a must with every character. Icarus
Just got my commando to level 49; one more level until the cap (for now). I think my plan is once I hit level 50, I'm going to stop playing the game until the DLC comes out and raises the cap. I don't want massive amounts of XP going to waste. Benjimino234
Okay um is this just me or have the 'extended' type shields been glitched. The type of shields I'm referring to are the ones that offer more shield capacity but reduce max health as a counter - in my game the "Reduces Health" stat is gone. Normally those shields would have a text line of "reduces 98 Max Health" or something but then when I've checked my game there's no text at all can someone confirm? Benjimino234
Yeah there are bugs and some issues with Gaige as well such as not being able to one-hit Crystalisks also the skill 'Make It Sparkle' does not work (shooting DT with an elemental gun makes him turn into that element but doesn't change his melee attacks). I hope it gets patched soon.

OysterBarron
I dont know about my main character loosing badass ranks but I have noticed that they do seem harder to get now. I was swimming with badass ranks by level 10 on my main character but playing through with gaige I've only had 3 so far. So I think they have patched something as well to make them harder to get. Benjimino234
That's just because of scaling oyster, each level up to the next badass rank gets increasingly higher and the more challenges need to be completed. As far as Golden Keys and Badass Ranks I haven't lost any so that would be really annoying to those who have. Anyways, as I'm playing through as Gaige I'm noticing a few bugs. Deathtrap on rare occasions doesn't attack anyone even though I'm in combat and there's a clear line of sigh. Another minor issue when he's doing a skill tree appointed flurry attack and the enemy dies early or something the spinning slashing sound keeps on playing until he does it again or when the action skill depletes, it becomes quite annoying. mrpain
So Borderlands 1 had no story at all while in this Borderlands 2, they story kicks so much ass that it's really the best story I've played this year. How many chapters are there? Currently at the mindblowing part where Angel not only turns out to be a person, not only turns out to be Handsome's Jack daughter, but turns out to be a motherf*cking SIREN! I couldn't handle the many plot twists thrown at me with each coming minute. Good job Gearbox, you've really outdone yourselves. And with a good story comes a good challenge. I've died and respawn countless times now in Opportunity and that bunker. Sucks that I have to use common weapons which are more powerful to more rare weapons which I think I'm overly attached to. Benjimino234
Yeah the fight with BUNK3R was pretty epic as well as the 'climax' of the story. I really enjoyed the raid against Hyperion and that battle, I was awestruck too. Also I did some numbers for Gaige's Anarchy from this post I did on Gearbox fourms, useful notable numbers for any who are playing as Gaige. 58 stacks of Anarchy -> 1.75 x 58 = +101.5% Gun Damage ---> Essentially 2x Gun Damage 115 stacks of Anarchy -> 1.75 x 115 = +201.25% Gun Damage---> Essentially 3x Gun Damage 172 stacks of Anarchy -> 1.75 x 172 = +301% Gun Damage ---> Essentially 4x Gun Damage 229 stacks of Anarchy -> 1.75 x 229 = +400.75% Gun Damage ---> Essentially 5x Gun Damage 286 stacks of Anarchy -> 1.75 x 286 = +505.5% Gun Damage ---> Essentially 6x Gun Damage 343 stacks of Anarchy -> 1.75 x 343 = +600.25% Gun Damage ---> Essentially 7x Gun Damage The max amount of stacks is 400 with 5/5 point allocated in Preshrunk Cyberpunk
Seddo
Got this delivered on Tuesday and was still able to order the game with that premier club thing even though i was like a week or two late which is good (thought it was some sort of pre-order incentive?). My first playthrough has been with the Mechromancer and the Deathtrap is a proper beast, sweeps the battlefield with his awesomeness. Only level 11 at the mo and playing on my own but the game seems much harder than the original.
Benjimino234
Oh man forgot to follow up (kinda) I have found my 2nd Legendary gun. Got this baby at level 14 with my Gaige from an enemy drop. I think it was a King Spiderant in the bandit camp near Boot Hill in The Dust, Vault Hunter's Relic win. The rocket follows a downward trajectory but not in way of 45 degree downward curve but more of a acute curve to vertically downwards to replicate a nuke dropping, has a massive AoE and the explosion is radiated with a yellow glow and also any enemies caught in the blast. It's useful to shoot it over walls and such, getting into the 20's and it's still awesome. Such a low level find! I shall pass down this rocket launcher character to character, best find yet. mrpain
Gotta love the Bandits' grammar. Anyway bizarre easter egg... Also, Handsome Jack is hands down the best villain like EVER. Really love that dude. Oh and another thing, I didn't even download the new character Gaige but got a class mod through my Axton playthrough specifically for her. Sweet. MyMothersMySister
Nice find man. @Mrpain if it's level 50 and you want to trade hit me up. Now I was aware the first DLC would be Captain Scarlett and her Pirate Booty but Wasnt aware that it was released on the 16th as the Mechromancer was bumped forward. Anybody had these issues? No, but I was reading yesterday that Gearbox was planning on punishing those who have been exploiting golden keys and badass ranks, so perhaps this was their way of saying, "Hahaha - now play legitimately." Also, MmMs, I gave you to the add on Xbox, so one day, we can go kill Terra. I'm at level 49 now, so I might not be completely useless.

Whoops Level 27 now and my sniper rifles collection have been deemed not effective against enemies at this point. I'm having trouble with loaders, especially the badass variants. I keep relying on Second Winds revives because I keep getting down quiet a lot. Tips anyone for my Axton? Deploying my rocket firing turret is the most pussy thing I can do right now. Remix
I'm having a tough time getting into this game. I like playing it, but like other games I feel that it's pointless if I know I can easy hack into the game and give myself whatever I want. Obviously this is possible in a lot of games, but when it's an online multiplayer game, centered around loot, it just feels like a waste of time. I'm sure I'm being overly pedantic about it, but it just bothers me. Especially when the loot is basically worthless. Is there any drawback for someone that hacks the game? Benjimino234
The major drawback is everything. Borderlands is RPG/FPS and it revolves around levels, guns and their stats - what is the point of playing if you give yourself a legendary weapon or hack a weapon to have ridiculous stats? There's no challenge, no progression or achievement. This is how I feel about duping too, the only legitimate reason I would find reasonable would be doing it amongst friends who co-op'd Terramorphous or any other boss and a legendary dropped and it's fair that both should have it. Edit: Some more Legendaries I'm up to 3, I have actually around 16 E-Tech guns too all various levels. E-Tech guns are basically any gun that are pink/magenta and don't necessarily need to shoot purple bullets. One example an E-Tech shotgun variant is called a "Splatgun" it basically shoots a ball of some sort of element. Found: The Warrior. Extremely short range, shotgun pellets are flares about 15 shoot out and explode. Found: Ultimate/Super Badass Thresher (I think) on 5th round of Natural Selection Annex. When reloaded the rocket launcher behaves much like a rubberized grenade. Edited October 12, 2012 by Benjimino234
