Photoshop Color Problems

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I am a beginner at Photoshop. I have the CS3 version and am encountering problems when selecting colors, this is what happens:

I select colors, doesn't matter if it's in the swatches or in the colors tab, whenever I select a color, instead of the color coming out, it is always a variation of Grey.

E.G. I select All of my text and choose to change the color to red, it becomes a shade of grey. This is happening with all of the colors in my PS.

I'll add an image in a bit...

EDIT= This:

Clearly the format of the document is grayscale, select new document->Color Mode->RGB,

you can also change it from Image->Mode->RGB Color.

Yes, that is clearly it. I don't know how it was changed because I am sure it wasn't me. Sorry for my noobiness relating to PS. (At least I know what RGB and Grayscale are tounge2.gif )

Glad I could help, RGB is related to Red Green Blue, which are the primary colors.
