First of all, congratulations to last week's landslide winner, UNRATED69! His signature can be seen below: The top 3 results were as follows: 1st: UNRATED69 - 13 votes - 48.15% 2nd: AndyGanteks - 5 votes - 18.52% 3rd: blitz. - 4 votes - 14.81% For those not in the know, SOTW is a competition where the budding graphic artists of GTAF can pit their signature designs against each other following that week's theme. Every Sunday, a new entry topic is posted. The entries come in and then on the following Friday, voting is opened until Sunday. In the new entry thread, the winner is announced. The winner of each week will get gloating rights until the next week. This week's theme is: STEAMPUNK Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s. Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually the Victorian era Britain—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology or futuristic innovations as Victorians may have envisioned them; based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, art, etc. This technology may include such fictional machines as those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne. A quick search in Google Images for Steampunk will tell you what you need to know if you are unsure. Now go and make some signatures! I mean, all we will have is a bunch of signatures with similar artworks. No creativity. And making something from scratch with this theme is hard, believe me, i've tried. Actually taking the time to create something new would be challenging, but it might also be fun, and people might come up with some interesting things. But it's just a suggestion.
