gta-sa.exe is being detected as a virus

My GTA San Andreas is being detected as a virus every time I try to launch it.

It's downloaded through Steam, I had a ENB mod but I've now deleted that.

It also deletes my wallpaper when I try to play it.

I don't think the problem's in San Andreas, try doing a virus check on the whole computer and then reinstalling GTA SA.

I've redownloaded the files it removed and I'll try again, if it happens I'll try a scan.

EDIT: Its redownloaded the files this time and they seem to be working, Every other program I have works fine. I moved the steam folder to another drive earlier and I don't know if thats caused any problems.

Hmm I think you should try a scan anyway because it could be some kind of trojan that "glues" to the programs.

I will, I normally have a scan done everyday automatically though so I doubt it is anything.

Trojans don't infect or spread in that manner. Viruses and worms do.

TaraIV, these days heuristic analyzers can cause a lot of false positive alerts. Try and turn down the heuristic scan level unless you're in a hostile environment.

I'll keep an eye on it and see how things go. Thanks for the suggestion.
