Mister Pink
There's reports that it's Norway's largest tabloid newspaper building. Is this true? Is that something to do with it? RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
schwebe
Its a big shock. First time something like this has happened here. They say its either a gas explosion or muslims terrorists. Most likely terrorists. One person found dead so far. Another has lost her legs. This is what we get for being a humanitarian country who take care of immigrants. This is our 9/11... So sad... schwebe
On one side of the street is the HQ of the three biggest newspapers in Norway. On the other side is the PM's office and several departments. My friend work in the Oil and energy department.
Mr.Mister
I don't think it was a gas explosion due to the fact that is happened twice and in government buildings. I hope everyone gets home safely! Edit: Found this on reddit http://www.theatlantic.com/international/a...h-norway/59649/ Edited July 22, 2011 by Mr.Mister

No its not even comparable, but that is the feeling I'm sitting with. 9/11 was 1000 times worse, but this is in my backyard. Didn't ment to be disrespectful to the victims of 9/11 or anything... d00d
Thats terrible news. According to BBC no one has claimed responsibility but its only a matter of time before someone does, something like this will have a claimant. Here's hoping the people in the area are okay. Fnorg
It's really a bit silly how many terrorist attacks, attempted or successful, the Scandinavian countries have had to deal with these past 12 months. Why try to instill fear here? Seems like a really stupid effort and it's not doing much other than giving the "dey took our jerbs" politicians ammo. Way to go, terrorists. Slamman
Reports in the USA keep coming about Osama Bin Ladens information from the raid of his compound, last I heard that International targets of US Interest would be most likely, if it were in retaliation to the USA forces abroad of the USA in general. Quoting Cid: Norway seems to be a so pacific country, I don't understand it! I think you were going for the word "Pacifist", One thing I tend to believe, true or no, Norway is one of those BLACK METAL hotbeds, Satanists known to be conflicting with Christians society and some of the oldest Churches being burned to the ground as a protest of sorts Edited July 22, 2011 by Slamman

Slamman
Equating it to a Murdoch empire world wide scandal and the cartoon referenced, it's not too hard to believe someone with the means and will make their statement with a large body-count. When you live half way around the World this kind of bold attack does just strike at the heart of something less regional and more of what you see playing out on the World stage, if that makes sense to you. But consider the violent protests in Egypt and Libya as well as Greece's near economic collapse, and other places this past year as well.
