It is also a welcome addition for people who wish to have more diverse traffic and/or want more control of the amount of traffic appearing. // REQUIREMENTS GTA IV Aru's GTA IV C++ Script Hook for your GTA IV patch version: http://gtaforums.com/topic/390582-gtaivrelsrc-c-script-hook/ // INSTALLATION Extract TrafficLoad.asi and TrafficLoad.ini to your GTA IV game folder. Replace any older versions. // CONFIGURATION See the comments in TrafficLoad.ini for information. // ADDITIONAL CARS When you have no added cars installed or you are using this mod for GTA IV non-EFLC, no modification is needed. If you do have additional cars, or have EFLC, you can manually add car models to be loaded. An example of usage. Suppose you have added the following cars with filenames: golf.wft/wtd, prius.wft/wdt and skyline.wft/wdt. [AddedCars] Enable=1 Amount=3 1=golf 2=prius 3=skyline // PROBLEMS Make sure you can load asi scripts. Check ScriptHook.log. If you experience crashes and/or texture loading trouble, you might want to try lowering the amount of cars per cycle. thogan2012 0 Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Hi people, Here's another taxi fix I made myself, because others didn't work the way I wanted them to work. I highly recommend you to check these traffic controlling systems first, because my idea is quite simple and I don't want to steal glory and ideas of others. TrafficFlow V5 made by Mr. Mysterious Taxibugfix made by Scigheras (space for others, reply if you too have made such a thing) My mod simply loads all cars and some trucks into the game at random. After a pool of cars is loaded, the script pauses for a minute and then it randomly picks something again. I divided pools in a few categories, so you will see less cars of one type, but more of the other types. Taxis are always available, and sometimes you will see a lot of them (when the pool with the default cars is loaded), but you will never see a lot of taxis all of one kind, there is always a mixture. Cabbies load too. My game has a few modded cars (about 20 of them) and they all appear in the traffic at times. I have my traffic slider all the way to 100 and I have mods that make more pedestrians and cars load. I tested it: I drove 10 minutes and idled 10 minutes at the intersection near the bridge to Star Junction, the game did not crash. Oh, and before I forget, you'll need plenty of RAM. thogan2012 0 Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Okay, I've tried every possible version of aru's scripthook and asi loader that I can find but none of them seem to make this fix work for me. I roam around for 10 minutes and I'm still seeing a ton of taxis and the same 2-3 cars over and over again. I've placed the trafficload.asi in the GTAIV directory. I've installed dsound.dll, scripthook.dll and scripthookdotnet.asi (when I press the console key I can see that the scripthook is working). But there isn't any message about trafficload.asi being loaded. Link to post Share on other sites

This fix isn't activating. I'm using the old scripthook (for older patches) from the 6.2 trainer but meh, my game crashes, I think I have to go back to vanilla cars for now... Please report back if there is more traffic, because I don't see the difference between the original v3, this and GTA IV without mods with traffic density up to 100. Not just because it fixes the taxi issue, cause I don't even have it (at least I think so, taxi population is medium on my game), but because I finally see other cars than just the 3 goddamn same driving all the time. I was really glad when I saw that all the cars were random so it compleatly works! But because the roads is not there I cant play it. Is it my computer that it is to slow? Seems like you cannot have more than 40 or so different cars. It will eventually crash once you get pass the 40 car barrier. Not sure if the problem is only related to modded cars only. Maybe you can have more than 40 cars with stock models (or models of the same size). Link to post Share on other sites
