WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD 1.2 / 1.428 VERSION?

- Unfinished version was released with no installer, because I had no time, exams, problems and our development team disbanded.. I was really sad back then. BUT I knew what I have to do - I MUST FINISH this mod, and that's what I'm doing right now.

 

INFO:

- Some models from the previous version of the mod will be used in this version.

- I have a original PS2 version of the game, which means that there are going to be used some models from this version.

- I have a possible voice actor for Mr. Moffat and Pastor Richards. If there will be any problems with Pastor, i'll cut it (There are no informations about this missions, there is nothing left except model).

- There is also the official website of mod - http://vcbe.devrandom.sk/

- When finished, download available at GTAGarage.com

 

CHECKLIST (If something I find something new on the screens, it will be added here - on newer checklists)

You can find beta wheels in the ps2 version of the game that were seen in the third trailer of the game in the gta3.img in a file called "defaultdffbatchnode.DFF" and "defaultdffbatchnode.TXD." might interest you right?

Good god. Every time somebody makes a "beta mod" topic someone has the urge to post random info about the beta, which sometimes isn't even true. Stop doing that?

Please? For f*ck sake, if the OP is serious about making a mod like this, I'm pretty sure they read a heap of info about the beta. I just cant wait until some jackass posts a whole list of sh*t he copied off of Wikipedia just to show how "smart" he is.

 

And TBH: These mods are pointless. The released versions are what they are because Rockstar thought what they had in the beta was either too dumb or complex to have in the retail version. Plus, not one beta mod has made it to a complete release so far. I suggest people stop trying.

1) I'm looking on every detail on the pre-release screenshots.

2) I use some things from Grand Theft Wiki, too. But that's just a very small amount of new things and 80% of these things can be seen on screenshots and/or ingame/files.

3) It's modder's choice if he's going to create a BETA mod or not wink.gif

I've said it a million times, but I hope this time it will be clear. DO NOT USE ANY STUFF FROM GTA III

I have plans of adding Grenade Launcher, MP5K, Tazer, Nailgun, M16, Steyr Aug to the game, but at first I have to remodel them, add them into new slots, create them spawnable.

This Person is right. The only reason GTA 3 stuff appeared in the alpha pics is because rockstar hadn't finished making the model for the beta version and later for the final version. I can make a blue chasing police maverick instead of the crappy gta 3 model that was used as a filler before the final one was made. Same thing goes for the wheels. Thats why you should convert the wheels from the ps2 disc that I said a few posts ago. And why not use the cut scene m4 because that was the beta one. The m16 found in the ps2 disc is actually a match of the gta3 m16.

So, there were two M16 or just the ingame one, while the m16.dff was actually a leftover? By the way don't you know any tool which allows me to import PS2 DFF?

What i am saying is "m16.dff" is a filler that was used before rockstar finished the final M4 model. What you should be using is the model "mfour.dff" because that was the one used in the Cut Scene before you go in and kill Diaz and it is also the same one used in the Beta Version. And there was a program written by someone that allows you to convert PS2 DFFs for import into 3Ds max and Zmodeler but its buggy in Zmodeler. I cannot remember off the top of my head who that was. i'd have to go searching.

The first one is the one seen in early screenshots, using wheels from GTA III. This version looks like Lamborghini Countach.

 

The second one is the final version with 3D "San Andreas" wheels, as seen on 3rd trailer for Vice City PS2.

 

The question is: WHICH VERSION SHOULD I CHOOSE?

The wheels I directed you to in the ps2 DVD are the same ones in the 3rd trailer. I converted them once from the ps2 but I cannot find the program I used. The San Andreas wheels aren't the same. Although I don't like the later one's model so use the first one
